This was a great place to relax and unwind by the lake. I came on a Friday night which seems to be Karaoke night with some line dancing. I had shrimp and grits which was the best I ever had. The bar area seems small not a lot of room. I opted for the patio outside by the docks with the view of the lake. All the staff seem to be very helpful. I absolutely loved my waitress. She did a awesome job. Maybe I’ll venture out here again in the near future.

First time here. Loved the atmosphere. Service was great. Had the classic hamburger. Friends got wings and loved them. Okra and squash was very good. Will be back. Hopefully when no cover to sit outside.

The menu has been cut in half and now it’s one sheet of paper with things blacked out. It is now basically burgers and pizza. If you like the frozen burger pattys then this is the place for you. The food was subpar compared to their food a few years ago.
Scallywags has lost its fun and charm and it just seems like it’s a money grab.

Waitress is just aweful! Older lady with short blond hair. She is very unfriendly and has a terrible attitude. Customers shouldn’t be treated like she treated our table. The food is okay but not worth the abuse from the waitress. Not sure we will come back! I hope the owners read reviews. Yes there are few options to eat in that area….but I will drive rather than deal with this treatment.

We loved coming here by boat and even by car for the music, view and peel and eat shrimp. Today will be the last time, sadly. They charged $15 per person for a cover fee for the band that was playing outside, or sit inside. $30 to listen to people play their own songs that the band obviously wrote themselves and maybe two to three songs that people know. Ridiculous. The shrimp tasted overdone and a little off. We’ll go to the nearby restaurant on the lake that also offers live music and a very similar menu without paying a $15 person cover fee

Band and atmosphere were fantastic. Service was very poor. Waited 40 mins to get our food order taken. 2 waitress kept telling us, ill be right with you as thry went by. Went to the bar to order drinks, bartender asked me if I had a table, I said yes. Told me she couldn’t serve me, had to go through my waitress. They get a great crowd of people there, but it’s very unorganized the way it’s run

Service was beyond unacceptable. No one came to the table for 30 minutes and then only once in two hours. Went to bar area once to get drinks and upon a second trip there for another drink the bartenders were screaming at the patrons that if you had a table and a server you must order through them, despite the fact that the server was unable to be found. The bartenders were screaming at the patrons to be patient. Obviously poorly managed and unable to sustain a customer service atmosphere

Our waiter was all over she seemed overwelmed, it took her over 25/30m after us trackin some1 down just to get drinks then another 10m to track a drink menu down.Once we got the drinks it was another 25/30m b4 we ordered Food n band was great but no drink refilled offered etc

Good food and great music on a huge covered outdoor patio right the edge of Badin Lake. Also a marina so easy access by car or boat. Friendly staff, great service.
