Outstanding Experience – Truly Michelin-Level
This restaurant truly deserves all the praise it gets. I’ve been to their New York location, which holds a Michelin star, and I can honestly say the Montville, New Jersey location delivers the same level of excellence.
From the moment we walked in, everything felt welcoming, professional, and refined. The food was absolutely incredible — perfectly balanced flavors, high-quality ingredients, and beautifully presented. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, just like you’d expect from a top Italian restaurant.
The service was exceptional. Our server Trisha was absolutely wonderful — warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. She made the entire experience even better with her professionalism and great energy. You can tell she truly cares about the guests. It was also great to know that her husband works in the kitchen — you can really feel the passion and teamwork behind the scenes, and it shows in the food.
The atmosphere was elegant yet comfortable, and the entire staff worked together seamlessly. This place isn’t just about great food — it’s about the full experience.

Immediately you arrive at the most beautiful inn that they had all decorated for fall. The hostess was so kind and warm when we entered the restaurant. Our whole party wasn’t there at the same time, so we grabbed a drink at the bar; extra points for having backs on all the bar seats which is so much more comfortable. Amanda the bartender was SPECTACULAR! She had so much knowledge of different drinks and spirits, was kind, and made a delicious drink. She started our dinner journey off perfectly. We were sat in a corner cozy booth/round table and the price fix menu made it easy to dine with another couple and all be able to chose your own dishes. All of the food and presentation were delicious and incredible. They were flexible with everything and for all being first time diners here it was a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!

Came here for my birthday and Beth our server was amazing! It was a prefix menu with a set price. The substitutes are there for a small fee. The bruschetta was amazing! The prosciutto was great too. The zucchini was amazing. Garlicky, crunchy not very spicy! I skipped the Parmesan because of the vinegrette. I HATE seafood but omg the smoked salmon was amazing it tasted like bacon! I was shocked! The bread was great. The garlic bread had a bit of spice kick to it. The fresh tomatoe mini pizza thing was my favorite. I got the porcini mushroom and my husband got the vodka! Both were to die for! So full of flavor and rich. Forgot to take a picture of the shrimp but that was also amazing! I got the steak and it was ok. Nothing special. The fries were delicious. Right amount of crunchy and salt. My husband got the pork chops and I LOVED it. It was my favorite. The lime sorbet was okay! Wasn’t crazy about the desserts but my husband liked them. Hence the 4 stars because I didn’t eat or like the dessert items. I would 100% come back though!

Its Scalini Fedeli , so clearly the food was delicious. The salmon was perfect, as was the butternut squash and Mozzarella appetizers. Dessert was also very good, and Alex was a pleasure. However, we were told ahead of time they would give us a glass of proseco. That never happened. We were also never asked of we wanted coffee or tea at the end. Probably an oversight, but something that shouldn’t happen at a place like Scalini Fedeli.

We celebrated Valentine’s Day weekend at Scalini Fedeli and had an absolutely wonderful evening. The restaurant has such a cozy, romantic atmosphere. The perfect setting for the occasion.
The five-course prix fixe menu was outstanding from start to finish. We began with a selection of three crostini and bruschetta, among the best I’ve ever had. They were incredibly fresh, and my favorite featured smoked salmon. The shrimp and zucchini course that followed was equally delicious (the only “complaint” being that I could have easily eaten twice as much!).
For pasta, I went with the butternut squash ravioli, which was excellent, until I tasted my wife’s truffle ravioli and immediately had regret. Hers was next level. Both were beautifully made, but if you’re deciding, don’t sleep on the truffle. Our main courses were salmon for my wife and lamb for me, both generous, well-prepared, and satisfying.
Dessert was a highlight too. I spotted the apple tart with ice cream at the table next to us and knew immediately I had to order it. My wife had the hazelnut ice cream with a crispy wafer on top and loved it.
The service tied everything together. The team worked seamlessly, and every single person was warm and welcoming. You could tell they genuinely care about the experience they’re creating.

The food and the service is impeccable. I have dined at this locations several times. Love it! My only issue with this place is the glass wear needs to be cleaned properly. The soap residue from this dish washer is ruining the image on the glass wear while you are seated and with the lighting you see everything.

We went to Scalini Fedeli to celebrate our anniversary. It was a truly amazing experience! From the food, the staff, the ambiance….all of it was so wonderful! Special shout to our waiter who was so great with my husband’s allergies and his knowledge of the menu. Everyone and everything about our visit exceeded our expectations. Try it, you will NOT be disappointed!! We will definitely be going back again!
