Love everything about this place! It’s a lovely cafe with an awesome owner that makes delicious homemade things. Grab yourself some honey that’s infused with hibiscus and other wonderful things. It’s hard to not order one of everything!!

Austrian Homestead is an amazing place with friendly animals, cared for by the super cool team of Elly and Paul. We stopped here on the way home from Joshua Tree for a couple of hours and wish we could have stayed longer (heat was a bit intense). Elly showed us their alpacas, emus, turkeys, and chickens. It was great to see so many rescue animals being cared for properly. We took home some farmers bread, jellies/jams, apfelstrudel, and a couple sweet breads. Each food item was better than the last. Will be back ASAP. Thanks Paul and Elly!

I bought one of her delicious apricot cakes at the Palm Springs organic farmers market Saturday morning and realized it would be a wonderful treat to get another for a dear friend from Germany. I called the number on the label and she allowed me to come out Sunday to pick up cake along with eggs & some of her delicious muffins. The place is clean, charming & looks well ran. The animals are loved & happy to see visitors!

Great little spot for a quick bite while cycling in the area, it’s not on a farm but in an upscale vacation/mobile home gated community. With a car looks like you’d have to park at the gate entrance and walk less than 1/4 mile to the shop. Leberkase sandwich & date shake were fantastic!

My family and I had a wonderful time visiting the Austrian Homestead. They have all kinds of interesting and friendly animals: chickens, alpacas, turkeys, quail, guinea fowl, and even emus! Our daughter was delighted. Ellie gave us a wonderful tour, she is very knowledgeable about the animals and it is evident that they are very loved by the family. We ordered Austrian white bread, plum jam, apfelstrudel, sweet bread, and eggs. We couldn’t wait to dig into our treats as soon as we got home. Everything was delicious. We are looking forward to our next visit!

I was treated to the Hallmark movie experience. Delicious pastries and beverages. Rose cappuccino and lavender lattè. Cozy dine in. This place is a best kept secret of Sky Valley. Days and hours will rotate depending on the time of the year. Family owned and operated.
