Most of the time they highly recommend a reservation so do that first. We went in the earlier hours so it was not busy and the service was prompt.
I have had some gnocchi before. This gnocchi was on a different level. It was soft but not too soft. The flavor was amazing. There was something in the flavor that I don’t know but it was savory. I ate it one peice at a time and enjoyed every bite.
There is a kids menu version of the smash burger. My 11 year old couldn’t finish it. The waffle fries are perfection of crispy outside and semi soft inside.
Delicious place.
Get the banana chocolate cake!

The Steak and crispy brussels were my favorite. They were crispy, sweet, and savory. The portion was perfect for 2 people. The hummus board was very good. I enjoyed the hummus and it too had a sweetness without being cloyingly sweet. I would have preferred kalamata to green olives. The portion was perfect for 2. The beehive salad was also very good. I preferred to add some hummus from the board instead of the dressing though.

The place itself is very cute, and our waitress was extremely nice; however, the food did not meet expectations.

We visited on 01-14-26 and ordered the calamari, which was mostly breadcrumbs. The presentation was not appealing—it was piled on one side of the plate with the sauce underneath. The calamari was not very warm and lacked any crispness. I would not consider it truly “fried” at all.

We both ordered the gnocchi with steak. Unfortunately, the steak was overcooked and very chewy. The gnocchi had a wet, mushy texture—almost like a soggy noodle—and seemed blanched rather than properly prepared. While the brown butter wine sauce had good flavor, it did not make up for the rest of the dish, especially considering the price.

I ordered the wine paired with the dish, Ridge Three Valleys Zinfandel, which was very good and honestly my favorite part of the meal. My other half ordered a glass of Very Olde St. Nick Harvest Rye whiskey, which was much smaller than expected. It was essentially a shot, and for the price, the pour was disappointing. We both love whiskey and have experience with it, but this one had no bite, tasted watered down, and was nothing like we expected.

We have both worked in kitchens for years, so we are understanding customers. However, after spending over $100, this experience was a huge disappointment.

This review is soly based off of my food experience on Friday. Order salmon dish and gnocchi dish Salmon was cooked perfectly food was great. Gnocchi sauce flavoring was great but was overcooked and mush could not even pick up with a fork return to the kitchen. Got new plate and worst over cooked. Sent back right away. I have never not had the chef come. Out and check on the dish the second time. And talk to customer to avoid any mistake the server might convey. Bartenders where great, no issue offered me anything else. Even the pizza that another customer just dropped off for them as a tip. Will come back again because of the bartenders. I might just come for drinks Just know somethings are better left alone. I mean Kenosha a Italian Town. And couldn’t nail that. Ouch
Also on a side not the bar top is not level 1/4 ” difference in two sections. seat covers could use an update as they are ripped and wore

Our waitress was great. They really needed 1 more person for wait staff. The live music was really nice. The lighting was perfect. Nice bar, decent martini, the calamari appetizer was fabulous. My ribeye was not medium but rare. Overall, we will return. Bill for 3 was $250.

So we got the house sangria- tasted like watered down Boones farm wine (high school flash back)…Our waitress gave attitude when we asked for napkins, or anything. The calamari was wet and cold- they also do not serve cocktail sauce. We were severely overcharged for mushrooms for our steak. The tiny portion of pork I got was salty and dry.. there were more onions than meat… so disappointed… for a bill over $100 it was not worth it. I cook better at home than they do here and it was a let down of epic proportions.

This was a mixed experience. We did Saturday night drinks and they were the best drinks between Chicago and Milwaukee so we decided to come back for brunch. They don’t have any savory options for someone who only eats chicken/turkey, but can’t really dock them for that. It’d be nice if they had a bigger variety of non-pork or egg dishes, but this isn’t Milwaukee so it’s understandable.

Service was a bit slow even though the restaurant was slow, but that happens. Can’t rush brunch. The drinks were great. We never got the beignets we ordered to share as an appetizer.

Cocktails: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ All their drinks are amazing and creative

Brunch burger: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ This was really good. The flavors of the burger and bacon overpowered the aoili so I didn’t really taste that, but fortunately the burger itself was good enough that it was fine. I’d go heavier on the aoili if you want people to taste it

Hashbrowns: ⭐⭐ These were burnt and dry. No real flavor to them.

Ceasar salad: ⭐⭐⭐ Dressing was good. A little mayonnaisey but it goes away quickly. Not too garlicky. The fried croutons are an interesting choice. I’m not sure what frying them brings to the table that baking doesn’t, but it just made them really hard. My wife had to bury them under the lettuce for 5 minutes to soften so she could even spear one with a fork. The frying seems like a buzzword gimmick because it doesn’t add any beneficial flavors

The restaurant had a nice atmosphere. It was a bit loud. We had two appetizers: the burrata cheese and the calamari. Those were good. The main courses were so so. We had gnocchi and the pork chop. The gnocchi was really gummy and the pork chop was dry. The service was good. Waitress was very attentive.

Updated Review – 2/1/25: Great service, fun atmosphere… and delicious food. I had the Buffalo Smash Burger. It was incredible! I also had the Pesto Caesar Salad. It was great. My wife had the Scallops with Risotto. She said it was perfect. My daughter had the Shrimp Flautas… And her boyfriend had the Buffalo Smash Burger. We all loved the food. Then we had dessert. I had the Carrot Cake, my wife had the Chocolate Strawberry Mousse, my daughter had the Flourless Chocolate cake and her boyfriend had the Tiramisu. We all decided two thumbs up for everything! We would all recommend Sazzy B’s. We can’t wait to go back!

Original Review: One word. WOW! We hadn’t been to Sazzy B in a few years. It turns out that was a huge mistake. We need to go more often! The food and service were incredible. Our waiter was super friendly and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. He was a huge help picking out food and drinks. The food was delicious! We all liked everything we ordered. I loved my Moroccan Salmon and my wife loved her Italian Sausage Penne Pasta (I got to eat her leftovers for lunch the next day). We went with some friends and decided we need to go back to Sazzy B again soon. I highly recommend you go too!

Another good find. Our first experience here was decent. The appetizer was delicious. The steak and cheese dish. We enjoyed the Tuna and the asparagus pasta. The pasta needed a little more flavor and some
salt. The tuna was great. The prices are in the higher end so be ready to drop some coin. They have jazz and music nights which we missed. Drinks were good and dessert. Overall we had a good time with the friendly staff and would be there again on Thursday’s for half price Sazeracs.
