Visited the area while on a work assignment and I was not pleased with the food or service. Ordered beef enchiladas and the ground beef was white in color and tasteless. Cheese dip was thin and watery. The salsa was mediocre at best. The waitress was not attentive, had to ask for refill and more chips. I tried to give her the basket of empty chips to clear the table, she looked at me with irritation and snatched the basket. I watched her go back and forth checking on a kid sitting in the booth right outside the kitchen. She would stop by and eat food from the kid’s plate in between bringing out orders. Her attitude was simply unpleasant and I will not return. Thanks

In town for a funeral and stopped in for Mexican food. Ordered guacamole and when it came it was clearly the stuff they sell at the grocery store. My husband ordered carne tacos and they only had a little bit of steak inside each tortilla. No cilantro, no onion, nothing. I’m not sure how this place has so many good reviews but where I come from this was not Mexican food. I’m adding a picture of what authentic tacos look like from the Chicago area. We had a party of 16 and we all left hungry.

Sazon has a very friendly, fast staff that works hard.
The food itself was all somewhat mediocre, however.
The molcajeta fajitas sound fantastic on paper, but were fairly disappointing in the flavor department. There was plenty of food, but it missed the mark.
The “sopapillas” are a fried tortilla covered in Hersheys syrup.. not what I was expecting.
Overall, it’s still probably one of the best options in town and this may have been a rare miss.

I just had their chicken soup, which I didnt even know they had soup on their menu, lol. I always get the molcajete and it’s always amazing. The soup though, oh my god it tastes so good. Add the lime they give along with it and it’s just heaven. My food twins are happy. <3

We ALWAYS love our experience at Sazon. We are from Michigan and have nothing that compares to their quality and selection. Be prepared to have much more food than you can eat! And it is YUMMY! Try the fried ice cream!
