This was hands down one of the best meals I’ve had out in a while. It was fresh, fast, and a fun environment. I can’t recommend this place enough. The portion sizes were HUGE for the value! And the service was outstanding!

The place is small and adorable. However, that comes with its cons and the biggest one is the limited seating and no access to a restroom. We drove about an hour to try this place only to realize that seating is an issue. They have a lot of foot traffic which was reassuring. The young woman who took our order was very kind. They gave us samples of their soups. The food was good. We had the Mofongo Bowls. I wish it had more Mofongo in it because that should be the highlight of it. The pernil was moist, which unfortunately can be a rarity. Usually, it’s a dryer meat because of lack of experience. But here it was perfect! The arroz mamposteao was delicious!!! And it was better than anything else I had there. I’d say the Mofongo bowl would be better with less pernil/meat because the Mofongo with the rice was top tier. The only thing I’d say is not to be afraid to season… I felt like the flavors were on the milder side and I wonder if partially it’s due to past reviews that others left that perhaps changed the way the cooks make their food. Because my food was not salty at all. In fact I think it could have used just a dash more of salt and more garlic. I would most definitely return and recommend this little gem to others.

AYE CARAMBAAAAAA, QUE RICO!
Omg! Food is too good. I fell in love! Will be my new regular spot.

Angela at the front counter was very kind, attentive to our family and even gave us a sample of their soup. The sopa de pasteles sample is so delicious I ordered a large to go!
Even the cook came out to us to ask us how was our food. This is our culture! Que cultura Mas bella! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We just bought a home in the area and we were excited to have PR food tonight and my husband stopped in to pick up dinner and this is what we received! the pork was so old and dry we couldn’t eat it it was so hard! We ordered beef and chicken empanadas and they had nothing in them?? We were very disappointed and will not return! Thankful we see many other amazing PR restaurants on the Westside here to try! Too bad! Not all PR Food is created equally unfortunately!

The best Puerto Rican food I’ve ever had . The chicarrón was seasoned , crispy, crunchy and fatty. The plantains were smashed flat and snappy and crispy. The rice and pigeon peas were seasoned to perfection.

My wife and I ate here just earlier this evening and it was unbelievable! The young lady running the counter was very helpful and kind to us. She answered all of our questions and was so friendly! The food was absolutely the best Puerto Rican food we’ve ever had (including my wife who is PR!). The empanadas were incredible, the rice and pork were mouth-wateringly delicious! The flan was so good, we took one with us for home! The place is awesome and we will definitely be traveling the 45 minutes to eat there again! We highly recommend this place to anyone who likes these flavors of food.

I’m in love with this place. Everything was so good. The service, the food and the ambience. I ordered plantain soup which it was delicious and necessary for this cold weather!
I also ordered mofongo with chicken breast in a garlic sauce. It was one of the best mofongo’s I had ever tried!
I recommend stopping in for lunch 11 am – 3 pm There’s a lunch special for $10 which includes rice of your choice, meat and salad.
Also if you want to try a Puerto Rican spin on Chinese food come on Saturdays!!

Oh my goodness, the best sandwich I’ve had since a food tour in Boston nearly five years ago. The roasted pork sandwich is ENORMOUS, a great mix of crunchy and savory and tender, amazing! The sweet plantains were also perfect!
