I heard good things about this place so I decided to try it. I got the cod and fries, which in other places would be fish and chips, and the pecan roll. Pecan roll was the only thing that was good. Cod wasn’t made right, was very dry (I’ve had Cod at many different places, and this was by far the worst), and they only gave me less than a handful of fries which were soggy even though I asked for crispy. Atmosphere was very odd as well, so I’m glad I decided to at least take my food to go.

Say-Boy Restaurant is one of our favorite local spots. The home-cooked meals are always flavorful, comforting, and made just right — it truly feels like sitting down to a great family dinner every time.
They also offer a wide variety of desserts and pies that are absolutely worth saving room for.
On top of the great food, the atmosphere is so unique and fun. The model airplanes hanging from the ceiling and the model train that circles around the restaurant make it such a cool place to dine. It’s a great experience for both adults and kids alike!

Although I was a little hesitant coming into this establishment, that all faded when the food arrived (which only took a few minutes). Their fried chicken sandwich and crispy fries were purely sensational. Even the pies were amazing, as well as the sweet tea. I also loved the detail of the Christmas-themed train looping the perimeter of the restaurant. Although Ella was our “official” waitress, Vickie was all to kind to aid in any questions we had or if we needed refills of sweet tea (more please !) Despite the few cleanliness issues (such as a burnt straw wrapper end and lipstick on the menu, shown below) this restaurant is everything and more. Good job, Say-Boys and may y’all stay around for years to come!!

Everything about this restaurant was 5 stars! The food was great, the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was very family friendly. My toddler loved the train and watched it the entire time! We are already planning to come back again. 10/10 go check it out!

This restaurant has a great atmosphere. The entire staff is very nice and polite. The last time we were there we ordered the chicken parmesan, garlic bread, the grilled chicken and a portion of peanut butter pie. Everything is absolutely recommended, the portions are filling and the flavor is authentic. I also love the decor of the place, specially the train that they added. I will definitely go back.

my husband and I and a couple of our friends absolutely love Sayboys. They are right on the money every time I got the half broasted chicken. You get a house salad and two sides. Our friends got the salad. One our friends got the salmon salad the other one got the steak salad and my husband got the fish dinner I don’t know what happened to the picture of it, but I can’t find it. He said it was really good though.

First time diner! Many tables were taken, but the restaurant itself seemed quiet. I had the 10 oz. Jumbo Cod with coleslaw and fresh cut fries with ranch dressing. The portions of fish and fries were so large that I had to bring half of them home. There were also several choices in the cooler for dessert, and I chose a plain slice of cheesecake. I can’t wait to come back and try more food!

Having grown up in Fairmont, I used to frequent the original restaurant 50 years ago. While under new ownership the food and service continues to be outstanding!! I ordered the smothered beef sirloin with baked potato and Brussels sprouts. It was generous proportions and very tasty. My hubby ordered the lasagna which he said was also good. The side salads were a good size and homemade dressings very tasty. We were both full and decided to take Oreo pie and Peanut Butter pie home for later- yummy dessert. Our waitress was spot on with everything!! Will definitely be back when in town again.
