I saw many positive reviews so we decided to try-there must’ve been a change in the kitchen since all the positive reviews because it was terrible. The “chef special” was terrible. The citrus salad I ordered was overpriced and came with huge pieces of lettuce with no knife and 2 pieces of citrus. The onion rings must’ve been someone else’s order because they came out 2 mins after we placed the order and they were saturated with oil and cold. We then waited for 25 minutes for a burger and a stew. The burger did not have the “peanut butter gravy” or the huckleberry jam. I asked to have it added and it took another 10 minutes for them to send it back out with a dab of peanut butter (literally just a spoonful of it with no alteration) and still didn’t have the jam. The burger was overcooked and the “candied jalapeños” were just sliced jalapeños with nothing added. The stew was full of fat and had no potatoes-only a few carrots. We will never go again.

Lovely environment of course, nested in the heart of Summerhaven. Beautiful restaurant, great food and you must try attacking least once the PBJ Jammer Burger.
A mix of peanut butter, cactus jelly, green peppers, and bacon.

I’ve eaten at Sawmill Run before and had a good experience, but this visit was disappointing. I ordered the truffle burger and honestly expected more for the price — it came with very few condiments and just felt underwhelming overall. The flavors didn’t stand out the way they should for something described as “truffle.” On the plus side, the smokehouse fries were really good, crispy and flavorful. I know this place can do better, but this meal missed the mark.

Big plates, good food. The meat loaf is huge, good to share.
The beet salad could be served at any fancy restaurant, it was a very good surprise!

This was our first time ever. We truly enjoyed It very much and just feels right to be there with the family. The view from the inside of restaurant was very pleasant to see. We enjoyed having lunch together. Furthermore, We actually lived below mount lemon just off the road. Next to mount lemon I never knew this place actually existed since moving to Tucson since 2015 …Oops! the food was good and the menus was good too. It was very Busy, which is good for the locals up on the mountains. ⛰️ The weather was nice and pretty Trees lots of trees.. we loved it and we will be back for more food and of course, the scenery that this place has to offer.

Aunt and Uncle visited Tucson and took them for a ride up Mount Lemmon today. My wife and I have been to this restaurant in the past and always enjoyed it so suggested this place for lunch while there. Place was half full and the service was very slow. Everyone except for myself ordered waters and the drinks came ten minutes later – plastic shot glass sized cups of water. The food took at least 25 minutes to arrive after ordering. My Uncle who has a respiratory illness likes to eat light so he ordered soup. He was informed only when our orders arrived they were out of the soup. So he put in for a salad and sat there and watched the rest of us eat while he waited ten more minutes for his. I ordered a Caesar salad which was in a medium sized bowl – lettuce, croutons, dressing, and some gross sundried tomatoes that were charred and had an off-taste. $15. My aunt ordered a Reuben and was informed they were out of sauerkraut. Burgers and sandwiches didn’t come with fries – they now cost extra. No veggie patty option for burgers. Sign on dessert case at front counter stated “Stressed spelled backwards is Desserts.” The case was empty – lol. Despite not even being that busy the ladies room was out of hand soap – my wife informed one of the staff and 20 minutes later it was still empty. I genuinely felt embarrassed that out of all the amazing restaurants Tucson has to offer, I took them here. This place has definitely gone downhill and we won’t be back.

Was worried about the limited restaurant options in summerhaven but this restaurant is fantastic. I had the wings and watermelon two nights in a row. The sweet potato tots are out of this world and I’d honestly drive up just for those. The Mac and cheese was amaze. We sat outside and there was also live music was very elevated the entire experience. Prices and options were reasonable and they had a seasonal menu. Plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating.

I would not support this restaurant. They are not pet friendly, even though they have a patio in the back. They do not allow pets back there. You have to eat Outside in front of the restaurant. They may have places to sit, but not enough for people who like their pets with them. Also, if you order an alcohol beverage, you cannot take it out in the front which does not make sense to me. I would never support a restaurant. It’s too bad that Mount Lemmon does not have restaurants that are pet friendly actually, there is no pet friendly there.
