Heard many good things about this restaurant. It was pretty full when we stopped by on a Sunday morning. We both ordered biscuits and gravy. Gravy was bland but everything else was good. Service was great. I’ll try something else next time we visit!

We haven’t eaten here in a little bit so we decided to try it again. We both got chicken and waffles with a side of bacon. It was fabulous!! What made it better was the server Carra. She was nice, helpful and made sure we all had drinks filled. What even better about her is she is having a baby in like 2 weeks!! Congrats Carra! Thanks for making our visit wonderful!

On a Sunday, we called in for 3 takeout plates. When we arrived their was a line of people waiting for a seat inside. Going to the left of the line waiting for a seat, we stood by the cashier who asked our name. In no time our takeout meals where in 2 carry bags along with print outs showing what was in each styrofoam food containers. We had everything we needed to eat plus packets of plastic forks, spoons and knives.
These phone in takeout meals makes it easy to go home and enjoy our meals in comfort.

We were visiting in the area and sawmill was recommended for us to try.
Sadly it was not a good experience.
The food was cold, the server was not friendly and it felt like we were an inconvenience.
It was not busy – we got a table right away.
The pricing was fair.
The omelette we got was paper thin and not good.
The pancake received was flat / not fluffy.
The hollandaise sauce was watery.
Maybe it was on off day for the cook and the server but we will not return should we visit again.

We have been coming to CB for over 20 years now and have never ate here until now – and I could kick myself for that! ♀️It was sooooo delicious and very affordable – with the Early bird Special (3-5pm) – we enjoyed it so much that we came back 2 days in a row! The service was top notch both times too! The food came out at super warp speed!! Definitely a good place to go if in a hurry! The broccoli casserole, scalloped potatoes, green beans, and the bacon cheddar ranch potatoes were the greatest food I’ve ever ate !! And the chopped steak with gravy and onions was so good that we ordered it both days. I can’t believe we come to the beach and get better (and authentic) home cooking food than where we live in Appalachia of WV! Highly recommend this place to any tourists if you haven’t been! You will NOT be disappointed. If we lived here , I swear we would eat here everyday I’m sure ! Where else can you have a complete meal- with drink and bread for only $7.99?! I’m already looking forward to eating here next beach trip! A+++ all the way!! This place has it all- cleanliness, friendly and attentive staff and yummiest food you’ll ever have !

Unfortunately, we were disappointed by the quality and flavor of their breakfast. The wait time to get our food was longer than usual based on other experiences. The waiters could be a little more attentive as well. The price of the food is pretty high. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant for breakfast. I cannot speak for their lunch or dinner.

We went for breakfast and the experience was ok. Our server was super nice but it took almost 45 minutes to get our breakfast. They weren’t busy so we weren’t sure why so slow.
The food was average husband got eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast and I got an omlette cheese ham & onions.
Atmosphere is fine, average breakfastplace & clean.
We would try it again.

Tried the Wood Pile and was underwhelmed. Described as two fried eggs over two breakfast steaks on a pile of potatoes. Was expecting real potatoes not home fries, the steaks were bland maybe marinating would help. Ordered a side of grits, the grits fried eggs saved the show. I will return and try something else. Service was good.

We come to Sawmill regularly and every time the service is wonderful and the food is consistent. A great spot for breakfast. My favorite is the fried catfish platter. They have great pancakes as well. Thank you for always taking care of us.
