Our recent visit to Sawatdee Thai restaurant was kind of mediocre. The food was okay, but it didn’t stand out to us in any significant way. The customer service was decent, not particularly memorable. The highlight of our meal was surprisingly the soup, which managed to impress us with its flavor. However, the eggplant dish we ordered was a letdown, as the seasoning didn’t quite complement the vegetables. Similarly, the grouper dish we tried also lacked in flavor. Overall, our experience at Sawatdee was underwhelming, and left us craving for more culinary excitement and flavor innovation.

The food and service were really good. I wasn’t too impressed with the summer rolls. But the beef Pad See-Ew was very good. And the Thai donuts were delicious. I also enjoyed the Sake and Thai iced tea. Overall it was a good experience. Will go back again.

Sawatdee Thai food was fantastic!! The staff is amazing! We arrived 45 min before closing. They invited us in with no problem. The dining room was beautifully decorated and welcoming. I had the chicken pad Thai, with enough to take home. My husband had green curry. Note- The green curry already has some spice to it. Both dishes were delicious and had lots of flavor. Our waitress was amazing! She shared her culture with us and gave tips on eating the curry. Great attitude, friendly and professional! Can’t wait to return.

This place always has a healthy crowd of regulars. Service is good, food arrives quickly and I’m able to eat here on a 45 minute lunch break. What keeps me coming back is the food. The presentation is beautiful and it tastes amazing. This is the best Thai food in Tampa!

Thai Salad which ended up being a $5.95 lettuce salad.
My Tom Kha soup was very sweet. I didn’t see any chicken nor taste any lime juice & galanga, & very few mixed vegetables. Well, needless to say, it was nice while it lasted.

I heard a lot of good and bad things about this place and it remains true. The food does taste good, but they don’t give you enough for the price. I could imagine that they’re struggling to pay their lease so they have to skim on every dish they hand out there’s barely any meat in the stirfry and everything is covered in sauce to give it flavor I won’t be coming back here but maybe one day in the future I’ll give them another try. Everybody was nice and friendly at least.

I think these people need to close up shop, they don’t know what they’re doing. After not coming here for nearly 6 months while living in the area, I decided to give them another shot. The attitude when I ask one of the ladies at the front about the menu options I am met with a repulsive and uninviting tone. I’d recommend any other place but here. Their Prices are a complete rip off compared to what you get at a real sit down and or a Hibachi style restaurant.

The hostess (Ferun??) was extremely friendly and answered all questions I had about the menu. Ended up ordering some spring rolls (tasted great and were well priced), two chicken fried rice dishes, and a drunken noodle dish for myself.
The drunken noodles were pretty good – not spicey at all and quite filling when paired with the spring rolls and a drink. My only complaint though was that some of my noodles were chewy/hard and needed to be cooked longer. The flavor otherwise was pretty good, I received my food in a timely manner, and everything was well hot. Will def return for the spring rolls at the very least!
Update 7/22 – Ordered a similar dish again but this time the egg rolls hadn’t been cooked all the way through and the noodles had less flavor. Super disappointed and the lady tried to charge me $1 for a sauce even though they hadn’t charged me last time. Wont be returning here

I always pass by this area and decided to give it a try recently. I was surprised at the size of the portions on their lunch menu compared to the price. I felt like I definitely got my moneys worth. I was a little upset because I did want to try the massaman curry but apparently the chef made the curry incorrectly so I did get to try the pad see ew. It was delicious. I also tried the Thai tea which was good as well. I will definitely be coming back

Came across this little gem in the Temple Terrace area of Tampa, FL. It’s nothing fancy.. however the service is friendly, attentive and the food came out quickly and was absolutely amazing! The taste, presentation everything was excellent! This was the Pad Thai entree. I can’t wait to go back & I’ll most likely order the exact same dish! If you want a little kick… get the mild/hot sauce on the side and add to your satisfaction. You’re welcome! The only con is the smell in the restroom… it’s an old building.

“Mid” would be the perfect way to describe this place. It’s not good, but it’s not terrible. I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s fairly priced but portions and meat size is below average. Taste is average. I also got one of their specials, and it wasn’t amazing, but it wasn’t bad.
