Surprisingly good!
I’m from out of town and wasn’t sure what to get for dinner. Passing by and the idea of Thai food sounded good.

I ordered beef pad Thai and the fresh spring rolls, very yummy! Got medium spicy for the pad Thai and it is quite spicy in the good way! (I also later on added some of their hot sauce, still can handle it…spicy in the good way ❤️)So so so glad I found a spot for next business trip here!

Sawatdee offers amazing food and excellent service. We ordered the Pad Thai and Yellow Curry Rice—both were phenomenal. The curry had a sweet flavor with just the right kick, while the Pad Thai came in a larger portion than expected and was perfectly spicy, flavorful, and not oily. The Mango Sticky Rice was also outstanding.

This one was hard to swallow, literally.

I’ve been eating at this restaurant for over 5 years. Tonight, I was disappointed to finally have to accept that it will never be what it used to be.

About 3 years ago they started raising their prices and significantly lowering their portions. When ordering take out, you now pay roughly $4 more per dish and they put it in a classic paper asian-american box. Which is about 6 ounces less than the rectangle plastic containers you used to get.. PACKED.

Tonight, while eating at the restaurant, it was seat yourself, we chose a table that wasnt washed, no silverware, no napkins. They brought menus without a smile and almost put them down on the table before we stopped them to wipe off the table. They did a poor job wiping it down, never returned with the napkins or silverware until our main course got there when we asked for them. The portions were small, the noddles werent cooked through, the Pad Thai was soupy.

Unfortunately, this place has suffered from the economy, and its been this way for a couple years now. Such a shame.

Stopped for lunch with my daughter. We ordered; roasted duck curry (mild), Tom yum ( level 3 spice) and for dessert- mango sticky rice. Food was delish, service was top notch. Just the right amount of spice for each of us. We will be back!

Great food and great service. I came here for dinner with a friend and I got the chicken wings. They were perfectly cooked and were amazing with and without the sauce. We will definitely be coming back.

Great strip mall Thai food. A bit dumbed down from the Sawatdee I remember in St Paul 30 years ago, (I knew Suepenn), but it’s OK to make Thai food appeal to the masses…
I saw evidence of a buffet when I had dinner there the other night but didn’t inquire about when it’s open. Need to find out!

As a Thai myself, I’d had given 5-star if the food taste is on point. The salad is too sour than they should be. Pad thai is a little too sweet other that the overall is good. Nice restaurant and great service.

Enjoyed the family restaurant style with a fun and friendly staff.

Started off with curry puffs which were unbelievable. Would highly recommend as they are crunchy and when dipped in sweet and sour, hit all spots.

Ordered pad Thai and for an MN fella 2 was plenty of spice. It was delicious! Also had duck curry which was melt in your mouth good. The silky coconut milk combined with perfectly cooked rice and veggies was just right!
