Our waitress, Mimi, was absolutely amazing. Our waters never went empty and she was very personable. We loved her!
The food was absolutely to die for. The bread is an absolute must when you come. It is unlike anything we have had before! Served warm and fresh.
It was amazing to watch the food being cooked in front of us. The staff was lively and they greeted every party that came in. Super neat to see!
For us, this is a special occasion restaurant. It was just what we needed to make our one year special. A beautiful touch at the end was the card Mimi gave us.
Starting with a small order of bread with “good butter” (it was GREAT butter) flaked with espresso salt, and served along side a Peruvian dip the chef was ever so kind to come to our table and share the deets. (Incredible!) French onion soup was everything you want! Thai curry mussels. I don’t even have the words. The bacon. The corn. The coconut milk. Perfection We also indulged in the pasta. Striped bow ties. Rich with mushroom, truffle and parm. Again out of this world. I am appalled we didn’t order dessert- purple sweet potato and coconut; special for the evening is so up my alley. A Dubai chocolate and crème brûlée on the menu. Swoon. I was just so full!
The efficient, and oh so friendly team, working together was everything too.
Oh and the heart on top of it all; an herbal tea made by the chef right there with fresh chrysanthemums. It just felt so sweet to drink and warm up seeing the flowers in there! We will be back again and again! Incredible experience, thanks to every part of Savour! A birthday meal to never be forgotten!
When we first arrived at the unassuming strip-plaza location, we were admittedly a bit wary of what awaited us inside. Any hesitation disappeared almost immediately. Savour is owned by a husband-and-wife team, with the husband leading the kitchen and the wife warmly overseeing the front of the house. The restaurant is intimate, the welcome gracious, and the overall experience felt thoughtful and personal from the start.
The quality of the food and presentation rival what you would expect from a fine-dining establishment. During our visit we enjoyed the Spanish olives, crispy yellowtail, beet salad, grilled pulpo, pasta Savour, and pomme frites. Every dish was delicious, but the beet salad truly stood out—it was hands down the best beet salad we have ever had (and we have had many). The yellowtail and pasta were also highlights and dishes we would happily order again.
Savour is an excellent choice for dining before a show, but truthfully, we would not hesitate to make the drive from Naples just to return. It was that good.
We ordered the escargot, butter clams, five-spice short rib, a glass of wine each, and the bread and butter, which is a paid item, not complimentary as is typical in many fine dining restaurants.
Service started smoothly but quickly lost momentum. Though the restaurant wasn’t packed, it was moderately busy with four tables and a couple at the bar, and only one server on duty, on a Saturday night. We waited over 35 minutes for our appetizer and bread. During that time, the table next to ours was served their entrée and dessert while we still hadn’t received our first course. That lack of pacing was hard to ignore.
When the food finally arrived, the bread was warm and came with what appeared to be warmed, whipped butter and a separate ramekin of green liquid, which didn’t add anything to the experience. The escargot was tender and cooked differently than the traditional French style. You could clearly taste the red wine in the sauce, which was well balanced and complemented the dish nicely. The short rib was the standout dish, tender, rich, and well complemented by a parsnip purée. The butter clams were generously portioned and the clams themselves were enjoyable, but the sauce was over-salted to the point of being inedible, so we avoided it.
Throughout the meal, our server never returned to check in or offer a second glass of wine, even though we were there for over two hours. On a positive note, the chef made rounds during the evening, personally greeting every table and stopping by ours to apologize for the long wait on the appetizer, which we appreciated.
We finished with the Dubai Chocolate Mousse, which was excellent, light, smooth, and beautifully layered with pistachio cream.
What stood out most was that after such a long delay, nothing was offered to make up for it, not a comped appetizer or dessert, which would have been an appropriate gesture. In true fine dining, hospitality is about more than the food, it’s about how a guest is treated when something goes wrong. That opportunity was missed.
