Savor began August 13th, 2013. Robert has been in the restaurant business for 25 years working side by side with his father were he learned the ins and outs of how to cater to people in the restaurant. Their previous restaurant was also in Somerville, New Jersey. As he grew older and his father retired, Robert continued the legacy by opening up Savor a few blocks down in Somerville. Savor is now an Italian & American cuisine fine dine restaurant that has served over thousands of great people. Savor is known for having the best catering events. They cater to parties such as wedding rehearsals, bridal showers, baby showers, birthday parties, corporate meetings, business meetings, retirement parties, and much more.
Steaks, seafood, housemade pastas & more served in a classy atmosphere with sidewalk tables.

Amazing restaurant!! Our family of 4 comes in to eat. Savor generously donated trays of pasta for Teacher appreciation week at my children’s school. They have always been so kind when dine in with our special needs children who are 3 & 7. My kids are also picky eaters so they always accommodate in altering a dish for them.

I had my wedding here and it was PERFECT. My husband and I decided to have a small ceremony followed by lunch in Savor’s banquet room. From start to finish Robert and Lisa were beyond accommodating and so easy to work with. On the day of, it rained, so we had to pivot last minute and say our vows inside, it couldn’t have been more perfect. All of guests loved the food and service was excellent.

We had our wedding here back in August. The owners were very nice and accommodating. We had enough room for all our guests of about 35 or so, and we were able to take home the extra food from guests who cancelled last minute.

Always great food, fresh pasta. I hate eggplant, their eggplant app, I can eat all day. The meatballs and Ricotta are very good too. I had the bolognese. Very good!

Decent place, small one page menu, no alcohol. I really couldn’t “taste” the difference in the homemade pasta. Bread was amazing. French onion soup was good but overpriced at $9. Entree items are ok priced in the mid $20+ range, anything additional whether appetizer, dessert or after dinner coffee is too overpriced. I like the Somerville location, parking is difficult, took us 10 mins going through the lots to located a spot. The restaurant lacked any kind of ambiance I typically look for to make it a special occasion place.

I had a really good piece of broiled cod. It was exactly what I had in mind, so I was very pleased that it appeared on my plate just as I imagined it. The place is BYOB, which is always a plus. The waiters are super nice. We had fried artichokes as an appetizer, they were also delicious. The tiramisu I got for dessert was fine, but my cousin got the molten chocolate cake; that was better.

The food was good, but could have been better. The bread was outstanding, was served hot, and was perfect for dipping in olive oil. The Caesar salad had no taste and only 3 croutons. I had the homemade orecchiette with sausage and spinach. While the orecchiette was delicious, there wasn’t much sausage in there. And why do they say “homemade?” Was it made in someone’s home or in the restaurant kitchen? For dessert, I had cannoli, which consisted of 2 mini cannolis instead of one large cannoli, so the serving was smaller. The cannoli was served properly, with fresh filling in a crunchy shell. My son had the cheesecake and it was the smallest piece of cheesecake I have ever seen.

I recently came across an interesting review, and I’m shocked because I don’t believe any of it. Savor is one of my family’s favorite restaurants! Our kids even request to go constantly when all they will eat is the bread and butter . Their food is phenomenal- I try to order something different every time, but I can’t seem to resist the rigatoni vodka or crab cakes. We get compliments from strangers on how well behaved our children are , and that makes us want to go back even more. My 5 year old daughter even wants to constantly visit the hostess at her station just to say hi and run away. I don’t ever recall seeing a children’s menu, but they do their best to accommodate a child’s picky appetite. We would never bring our children into any restaurant if they acted like they did at home. We were even told once by another couple that they “would never” bring their children there because they wouldn’t behave like ours. This is the most family friendly restaurant I have been to.

We held my sister’s bridal shower at Savor in April. Lisa was wonderful; she answered all of our questions quickly, was so helpful, and was very accommodating in meeting a few special requests. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent! We will definitely be back there for a meal and wouldn’t think twice about hosting another event there.

We did not realize this was a BYOB restaurant and if it wasn’t raining we probably would have left- but so glad we didn’t! The food was excellent, the service was on point, overall great experience. I had the skirt steak that was cooked to medium perfectly. I woukd definitely come back
