Straight up, wow. Food with flavors beyond belief. The guys here pour all their passion and love into this place and it shows through the flavors.

Hands down, one of the best gyros of my entire life. Such an abundance of rich flavors. Beautiful sauces and fresh garnish. I’m loving the mix.

The cheese sauce for the fries…. So. Much. Flavor. This puts portillos to shame.

This is my new favorite late night spot. The guys here are so friendly and inviting. I can’t rate this place high enough. Grab a crown and some slaps. Spread the word. This place is king.

How you have survived the whole Ferris Bueller thing is beyond me. That has to be the best product placement “ad’ in history. I’m selling Soldier Field if you want to get in on this early.

This is one of those cool, local joints that have disappeared over the past couple decades. Gabe, the owner, has crafted some amazing recipes. Like the spices on the fries include a type of pulverized ketchup so you still get a ketchup flavor but can dip it in the awesome cheese sauce he concocted over 8+ years. Gabe is the sausage king.

Wonderful decor. Delicious food. Good music.

Your every sense will be tickled and your every interest will be piqued. After a visit to the Sauage King, your skin will be clearer, your anxieties will be calmed, and your outlook on life will be different. It’s therapy on a plastic tray.

Thank you, Sausage King.

I feel bad giving the sausage king 3 stars because the food is so damn good and everyone who works there is so nice. The prices are just insane. The photo of the food below cost $30, including tip and tax and a bottle of water (also took two decent sized bites from the gyro so it’s a bit bigger than that). To be fair, the food is delicious, made to order, and clearly really high quality. That price also includes the after midnight gratuity which I’m not against because the guys who work there are great and I’m sure they deal with a less than ideal crowd. But $30 for a gyro and fries at 2am just feels wrong. The chicken box feels a bit more fair because it is a ton of chicken and cheese fries, but it’s still on the pricey end for late night food. I wish they had a simpler, cheaper menu after midnight so more people could enjoy their stuff without spending an arm or a leg. But if you can afford their prices, absolutely go, because the food is really amazing.

Dude the burger here is really good. The fries are really good too fr. This is a great late night place to meet your afterparty appetite. The food seriously slaps. Get a smash burger & some cheese fries and life is good. Love the vibe inside.

Only thing I’ll add is that prices are on the high side to me. Two smash burgers, large fries, side of cheese sauce, and two water bottles came out to $52.50.

Pretty much the most random and weird restaurant I’ve ever found myself in with that being said, the food was amazing and the service was even better. I recommend checking it out!

Sausage King has embraced the late night crowd and given us, frankly, more than we deserve. The food is excellently executed and thoughtfully designed. This isn’t just a another drunchie cart or novelty food truck. The food is well balanced and well thought out. The environment is a blast and the chef is engaged and fun to talk to. So happy to have a place catering to the post bar crowd out here.

I was welcomed to Chicago by the Sausage King. If you struggle with depression, just stuff his meat in your mouth – it is perfectly grilled and seasoned to perfection so your brain will soon start reproducing serotonin. The crispy, thick fries are some of the best fries I have ever tasted and pair perfectly with the spicy cheese sauce. We also tried the grilled peppers and they were delicious. Inside the unassuming storefront you will find a comfortable selection of seating, whether you dine alone or with a large group. There are also many outlets so you can recharge your phone and keep the party going. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

My first (but certainly not my last!) stop at Sausage King was right as they were about to close. Even though they were about done with their night, the 4 team members working (Austin, Anthony, Daniel, and Steve) graciously agreed to crank out one more order for our hungry group…and they all did it with a smile and friendly conversation. The food (falafel wraps and gyros) was quickly made, super high quality, so fresh, and DELICIOUS!

I am already thinking about my next visit to this unassuming spot that I had never noticed on Milwaukee. Thanks to the 4 employees who made our night when they had every right to close up and end their shifts! 🙂
