Sausage Haus has been part of all of our family gatherings ever since my folks moved to Oconomowoc 10 years ago. They have delicious fresh turkeys, steaks, roasts and sausages — we like their hot dogs, Italian and brats — and last week we ordered their broasted chicken and potatoes for a last minute meal. So tasty! Don’t miss their baked beans, too. They’re deliciously molasses-y and go perfectly with the chicken.

this has been a favorite of my parents for many years. I got a take out dinner which was my first meal from this place. everyone was very friendly and professional and hard-working. they take a lot of pride in this place and it shows. I got the beef and noodles and it was a fantastic meal. dessert was a pistachio pudding type cake. it was much healthier than most of the sugary type pudding desserts I am used to so it wasn’t as enjoyable just because I’m not used to eating real home-made gourmet desserts. I see myself eating here regularly from now on. EDIT: Got fantastic enchilada there today. $5.50 well worth it. I’m not sure if the salsa was homemade but everything else was. forgot to ask. try the beef sticks!

My first visit to this place and I hope to get back there soon to try more f their food. I had the muffuletta sandwich. It completely filled a styrofoam takeout container! Cost $8.95!! It was delicious. Next time I would ask them to cut it in half or into quarters to make eating it easier. My husband had the roast beef sub and it was also huge and tasty. I enjoyed the vintage atmosphere. Interesting and unique local products are offered for sale: mustards, hot sauces, pickled products. The menu has many tantalizing options and the prices are super reasonable. Prepackaged to go meals and deli salads are available along with raw brats and various cuts of meat. There is a lovely park across the street with picnic tables so you can enjoy your food while you commune with nature.

Just grilled some amazing steaks from the Sausage Haus. It’s a real throwback meat market with great quality meat!
Just got some great brats! But unfortunately one of the staff doesn’t follow proper food safety guidelines. She handled raw meat, cash and some RTE without washing her hands. I wouldn’t have noticed, but one of my early jobs was working in a meat shop and it stands out to me when protocols aren’t followed.
I still love the quality here, but I’m knocking it down a star for food safety.

PUT SOME GLOVES ON. I see the employees always handling raw meat and items in the meat cooler without gloves. The place is also dirty. I’m shocked more people don’t get sick from sick eating here.
