The only issue we had was service is very slow. So don’t go expecting quick service.
One of the highlights here is their coffee and latte list—it’s seriously impressive! So many fun options to choose from, and the one I tried was rich and smooth. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was cozy, and it’s the kind of spot that makes you want to come back and try everything on the menu. Definitely a new favorite in Lake City!
We LOVED this delightful cafe. All the staff members were cordial and fun to talk with.
We enjoyed a fantastic bowl of corned beef hash topped with a pair of over easy eggs, and a tasty cheeseburger on a brioche bun.
Hummingbird cake for dessert…..
We’ll look forward to our next visit.
Thanks!
I would not recommend, stopped in for breakfast at the mid point of a trip, and ordered a few thing between me and my wife
1. Their large breakfast platter with Scrambled light eggs, pancakes, oatmeal, country ham, and toast
2. Philly cheesesteak omelette with home fries
3. Side of country ham
4. Cheeseburger to try
The large breakfast platter was probably the worst offender, my wife ordered the eggs to be scrambled light and they were scorched, and I mean scorched. The pancakes were also scorched and had an after taste of stale flour, and came out cold. The oatmeal was dry, seemingly sitting in a steam table for hours upon hours, we tried to save it with hot water, milk, and sugar, but nothing saved that, it was almost still dry from either sitting too long or being undercooked. The country ham that came out on the platter was burnt to a crisp, and the toast was stale.
The omelette was passable, but I couldn’t taste anything over the cheese so that’s why it was. I got a total of twelve little potato slices as my side of home fries, so that portion is absolutely not worth the price.
The second side of country ham was severely undercooked, almost like they tried to split the difference between the two.
The cheeseburger was what upset me the most. Everytime I go to a diner style spot anywhere, I order a cheeseburger since it’s always an easy way to scale it to other places. This was by far the worst. The patty had no seasoning, the toppings offering was a joke, the cheese was almost non existent, the whole thing was way overcooked, and the bread was stale, and I mean stale.
Overall the service wasn’t the worst I’ve ever had, but the servers were inattentive until they tried to convince you of an old school rewards system with a punch card
Overall I would recommend avoiding this place until it has gotten itself sorted out, and I hate that I have to say that
