I was sad they were closing them up but glad that at least something similar was opening in its place, it has some big shoes to fill since PDQ is my favorite chicken joint
The atmosphere is nice, wish they kept location specific stuff like the hand washing station, I hope they decorate for Halloween like PDQ. Everything feels clean and hip. They took the booths away for tables which is okay
It has pretty nice lighting as well, everything feels like a hip vibe but comfy. Like the music is an enjoyable level.
The food, so the tenders ain’t PDQ but are way better than KFC. They are like on par with Canes and better then Zaxby’s
The sauce, so this places is called saucy … And PDQs original name was Tenders but PDQ had better sauces. I’ve had the BBQ, KOREAN, TERIYAKI and everything but the barbecue was good. I didn’t like the barbecue sauce almost at all which is really rare
All in all, the staff is super friendly and helpful and the touch screens they also have for ordering by yourself if you want are super smooth.
The location itself is the best part because it has great lighting and great atmosphere but thats locations specific
The one thing I wish they did have is the Coca-Cola remix machine but I get the KFC is a Pepsi joint so it’s understandable but that’s a pretty big downgrade
But the chicken is still good and I would definitely come back but it’s not PDQ but that’s okay as well
I’ll miss PDQ, I ate there once a week and it was my favorite fast food joint
But that’s place might not have as much soul as PDQ but it’s not souless, it has some character
Definitely 4/5, I hope they can get more sauces and I hope they continue to be friendly and cleaned and it would be nice if they decorate for the seasons if corporate allows
The place is neat, like I wish they added it in the area in addition to PDQ without getting rid of it but you know. What can ya do lol
Chicken is definitely hot and tender, definitely juicy. Even good to raw dog it.
Good stuff
After hearing from a co-worker that Saucy had opened in place of PDQ, and she didn’t have a great experience, I decided to try it for myself and form my own opinion.
I ordered the Sammie sandwich combo, which comes with two “sammies” and fries, for over $15, I honestly wasn’t expecting what I received. The portion and overall presentation didn’t quite match the price point in my opinion.
I also tried one of their signature sauces — the Korean Spicy. I was looking forward to a bold, spicy kick, but it wasn’t spicy at all. I’m not criticizing just to criticize, but it just didn’t meet the expectations the name suggested.
Overall, I appreciate trying new spots and always hope for the best, but for the price, I was expecting a bit more in terms of flavor and value.
Please see pics below…Sammie, puffies(suppose to be like beignets) and medium drink.
The sauces are surprisingly good. The Chimichurri (9.2/10) is bright, herby, and packed with flavor. Thai Sweet n’ Spicy (8.9/10) brings a perfect balance of heat and sweetness, while the Salsa Ranchera (8.8/10) delivers a bold, smoky kick. The Creole Honey Mustard (5/10) didn’t quite hit the same highs.
The chicken tenders are thick, juicy, and genuinely delicious — exactly what you’d hope for. The fries are crispy and deeply seasoned, almost blackened with a heavy peppery finish that stands out from typical fast-food fries.
The Kimchi sandwich is seriously good and surprisingly filling, with kimchi that’s well above average for a fast-food spot.
I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the lineup.
Just an average chicken joint that’s competing for this niche market with Big Chicken, Dave’s Hot Chicken and other local friend chicken joints!
