Sauced by Alfaro: Where Flavor Goes to Party and Never Comes Home

If you haven’t been to Sauce by Alfaro yet, cancel your dinner plans, grab your hungriest friends, and prepare to have your taste buds emotionally wrecked—in the best way possible.

Let’s start with the lineup: the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich? A crispy, fiery masterpiece that slaps harder than your favorite playlist. The Bang Bang Chicken Sandwich? Sweet, spicy, and unapologetically saucy—it’s like your mouth got invited to a VIP flavor rave. And the Jalapeño Popper Philly? Imagine a Philly cheesesteak and a jalapeño popper had a deliciously reckless love child. That’s it. That’s the tweet.

But wait—this place doesn’t just crush sandwiches. The Sweet Chili Cauliflower is a crunchy, sticky, sweet-spicy miracle that could convert even the most committed carnivore. And the Dirty Curdies? Cheese curds gone wild, drenched in flavor and attitude. They’re messy, they’re bold, and they’re absolutely worth it.

Every bite felt like a mic drop.

The vibe? Well, you better go early and be prepared to wait but it is worth it.
You can also take your food to go next-door and get a drink and eat it there. The kind of place where you can laugh too loud, eat too much, and still feel like you’re part of something special. Sauced by Alfaro isn’t just a meal—it’s a full-blown flavor experience.

Go hungry. Leave euphoric. And tell your friends Kimberly sent you.

Food service and atmosphere were amazing. The bang bang brussel sprouts were AMAZING. I do wish I picked a saucier sandwich but the chicken was cooked perfect and I would definitely try again. I love how the bar next door serves you drinks while you wait. Can’t wait to come back

We stopped in early evening on a Wednesday. Very friendly staff. Food was really really good! Nashville hot chicken sandwich was as expected, fabulous! The dill chicken sandwich was very good, but just felt like it was missing something. Probably because of the bang bang Brussels. Those were our favorite part of the evening. I cannot describe how awesome they were! Altogether 5 starts, maybe it was just too warm inside, and the patio would have been better. Can’t wait to go back and try other options!!!!!

Very long wait, but that just means the food is great. The bang bang Brussels were worth the wait, and the sandwiches we had were fantastic. We had the Asian cheese steak. I can’t remember the name of my wife’s chicken sandwich, but it was quite tasty. I would recommend.

10/10. I had their Nashville hot chicken sandwich 5 days ago and I cannot stop thinking about. It had some of the best fried chicken of my life! The French fries were also incredible. Is this fast food, no. This is food made from scratch, and the attention to detail shows. I cannot remember the last time food stuck with me like this- so impressed and look forward to visiting again soon!

I went in to this restaurant expecting it to be just like another average restaurant experience, but I was mistaken. The staff was amazing and attentive to their customers, the atmosphere was cozy and clean, and the best part was how unbelievably delicious the food was. The chicken sandwich was juicy, tender inside, and crispy outside. The flavor was unbelievably delicious. The Dirty Curdies were equally as delicious, and as soon as I tasted them, I knew the food was going to be amazing. This restaurant has been added to my Top 5 restaurants to visit.

This place is a hyped up mess. If you go eat in store, seating is limited and wait times are long. My wife and I have two little children so the patience to wait at the restaurant is not an option for us. For that reason we have always called in our food. The first time we did this, we were told to call in an hour ahead and expect an hour cook time, so effectively two hours ahead. We are planners so still no big deal and I will say this was by far the best time we have had. Every other time we have spent 30+ minutes trying to call just to get someone on the phone. 99% of the time it goes to a voicemail telling you to call back or come into the store. Today I called ahead and they said they do not take advance orders anymore. Again, not ideal but whatever, until I called within the 20-30 minutes that we actually wanted to eat. Spent 30 minutes calling over and over, someone did eventually answer and asked to put me on hold, where I sat for 15 minutes before I gave up and hung up. We have always enjoyed our food and if you have the time to go in and sit around and wait it may be worth it. But they need to figure out a better system for calling in orders or placing to go orders. We don’t eat out often and we were looking forward to it, quite the bummer.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. We came in and ordered around 2:30pm on a Saturday and we were told the wait time was 30-40 minutes for dining in. The restaurant only had about 2-3 other people in the lobby. All of the tables were dirty and sticky, and after we waited for 45 minutes we decided to come up and check if our food was ready and that we had been waiting for 45 minutes. The woman behind the counter started to chastise us and was incredibly rude. You should not talk to paying customers like that after waiting past the quoted waiting time. Service is one of the most important things about running a restaurant, otherwise you’re chasing away your customers. Waiting 45 minutes for 2 sandwiches and an order of fries is incredibly long, and if the staff is rude then what is the incentive to come here? They need to put a limit of pick up orders if they can’t even serve the customers who are in house. This was a very bad first impression of this restaurant. They need to find a better workflow to serve people at a faster rate and they need to hire people who know how to treat paying customers. I would not encourage anyone to try this restaurant. Get your chicken sandwich from literally anywhere else.

Before I get to the food and interior, let me say first and foremost that the staff was welcoming, kind, and very attentive. They were wonderful peolle who helped make, and deliver to our table, some amazing food.

The food was incredible and well worth stopping in to check it out. A menu that also has rotating daily specials, there is a wide variety of sandwiches and appetizers to probably please anyone. If you are thinking about going here, quit thinking and go! The food was hot, fresh, crisp, generous, and pre-packaged to go if it ends up being a bit more than you need at the time.

The eatery was very clean, bright, and had inoffensive music playing at a very acceptable volume. Everything looked like it is well cared for. I only gave a “3” starts not because it was not good, but merely because it is meant to be about the food and people more than the building. Not meant to reflect a poor score by any means.
