Fries were hot and fresh, but I don’t know about seasoned. Their ketchup is different but good. And that’s what I liked the most because the burger didn’t do it. The “lettuce” was a couple spring mix leaves all wilted up. The bacon was undercooked for my liking. And the burger was super greasy, dry and unseasoned. They do have a cute seating area. I’d be willing to try again and get the chicken but a $15 burger with no taste is a no for me.

Sauced offers a delightfully unique dining experience! This stationary spot, cute like a food truck and nestled perfectly between buildings, has a charm all its own. Their menu is refreshingly short and simple, which works perfectly to highlight their delicious offerings. While drink options are limited to water and Sprite, it’s better than nothing and gets the job done. I highly recommend the Blackened Chicken Sandwich, and ‘The Fry’—loaded with pulled pork and BBQ sauce—is an absolute must-try!

A quick note on the practicalities: Parking was quite challenging to find, especially with the ongoing construction out front. Also, due to recent rain, the outdoor seating area was soaked. However, these are clearly not the fault of the restaurant itself and don’t detract from the fantastic food and concept.

I’ve been there twice now and have plans for our next visit to this wonderful burger place. For starters, the service is very, very good. The tables are all outdoors and food is served and cooked from a stationary food truck sized building. We’ve been treated exceptionally well both times. The burgers are cooked to perfection. We’ve gotten the single-hand burger. Fries are abundant. I’ll advise that you share them with someone else. Unless you like fries a lot, you will be overwhelmed by the amount that you get in each order. The sauce for the fries or a combination of ketchup and barbecue sauce, which is very very delicious. When I get a craving for a hamburger, this is where I will go.

Temper your expectations. I am honestly unsure how this establishment is rated so high. Arrived at the location and only 4 people were in line ahead of me. Proceeded to wait 27 minutes before I was helped at the window. Placed my order, and found out that they do not accept contactless payments, and to add to insult, the cashier stated that they can accept cash, but can’t give you change. I mentioned that they should update the various platforms that state that they accept contactless payments and he simply dismissed it, and repeated, only physical card.

Another 20 minutes later my food was ready. I ordered the two hand and fries. The burger is definitely not a two hander as the description indicates and the size is on par with the likes of In-N-Out double double if anything. The burger had some seasoning, but there was a complete lack of flavor other than the subpar aioli. The seasoned fries were nothing special. Other than being hot and fresh, there was nothing of note about them other than the lack of consistency of the seasoning. Some fries were heavily coated with salt and spice, while others were void of both.

For just shy of 20USD, without any drink or any condiment to note, there are much better options than this to be found nearby. The dipping sauce, or sassy sauce they call it, is meh. Slightly sweet, slightly spicy, nothing special. The food was edible, not a good value proposition, and service was horrendous.

Talk about a hole-in-the-wall! I couldn’t find them even with Google maps trying to guide me. This humble shack situated in the courtyard between the Acadamy Bank and an office building off of 19th Street, and hides one of the best burgers in Crossroads. They also boast the best chicken, which I’ve heard is excellent. I got their one handed burger, and it’s larger than what the name suggests. I also really enjoyed how thick the meat is. Their fries are extra, but there’s more than enough to share with a friend. The courtyard features standing tables and places sit for lunch, but depending on how busy it gets you can easily take it to go.

Cute hidden away spot for a quick bite. The burger hit the spot with a crispy smashed patty but the chicken is a little on the dry side. Could be seasoned a little more

Excellent basic burger and french fries at Sauced! Possibly some of the best fries in KC. Burger was perfectly cooked and very tasty. This is an outdoor-only eatery hidden in between two buildings. Order food to enjoy at the nearby tables or to-go. Parking is street parking. Location is accessible from the South entrance. Service was friendly and quick. No restrooms, although the Roasterie nearby is likely to give you access to those inside that building.

I have visited Sauced twice in the past two weeks. One was on a beautiful sunny Wednesday afternoon. I bought some adult beverages from Michael Smith across the street to drink with my burger and fries. After I placed my order, I sat in the beautiful and functional swings enjoying the sun and the view. I can see this place being extremely crowded in nice weather. Lots
Of people streaming in and out – it appeared busy.
Sauced offers a simple yet delicious menu. Their burgers are of the “smashed” variety with grilled onions. You can also substitute a portabella mushroom. Topping include brisket, cheese and of course their signature SAUCE! Moving on, they Sauced offers several chicken sandwiches, chicken fingers and chicken nuggets. Finishing the menu are the basic fry and the hopped up fries with brisket, cheese and sauce.
The food was outstanding. I wish the employees were not half-masking.
Lastly the hours on their Google Map profile is incorrect. They ARE open for dinner most nights.
Make sure to check out this black-owned business in Kansas City.

Tasty food, very cozy outdoors. The Two Hand with pepper jack cheese was delicious 10/10. Buffalo sauce wings were great as well. Quick and flavorful, bang for buck.
