Sauce & Vine is such a beautiful new addition to Fate! The space is gorgeous and thoughtfully decorated, with a fantastic main bar, an impressive whiskey selection, and an outdoor seating area that has its own fully stocked bar. They’re also planning to have live music, which is going to make this place even more of a destination—especially once winter is over.

Since they just opened, they’re still working out a few kinks—but the management truly stood out. They were walking around, checking on guests, making everyone feel welcome, and asking if there was anything they could do to help. Our waitress was quick and attentive, and service overall was excellent.

The cheesy bread was absolutely delicious, and my Old Fashioned was one of the best I’ve ever had. I’m not a food connoisseur, but both my husband and I were very impressed—he had the pork chop, I had the pasta carbonara, and we had zero complaints.

I truly think once people find out about this place, reservations will be the only way to get a seat. We’ll definitely be back!

We had dinner at Sauce & Vine in downtown City of Fate and really enjoyed it. We had a 6:30 reservation for a group of 7 and were seated at a table with taller chairs. The place was busy and doing well, which says a lot considering it was cold, raining, and an ice storm was lined up to roll through later that night. Texans still gotta eat.

We started with the meatball appetizer and a wedge salad. Both were good, but the meatballs were the clear winner. For our main dishes, we had the chicken carbonara and the chicken parm. The chicken parm was the favorite for my wife and I, with the meatballs holding strong in 2nd place.

My wife and I spent about $90 total and the quality made that an easy yes. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and just a little dressed up without feeling stiff. As you walk up you can smell wood burning, which immediately feels right for our small town

Parking can be a bit tight during busy times since it is right in downtown, but that is just part of small town life. I would absolutely recommend giving this place a try. It is their first week open, so a little patience is fair, but service and food quality were already on point. Always good to see a local spot come out of the gate doing things right!

Wow pretty impressed with everything that this place had to offer. We’re happy to see that Fate got an upscale restaurant like this. my wife and I got the the Yankee pizza, carbonara, and filet braciole.

The pizza was a great appetizer and flavorful. The carbonara and the filet I thought was great pairing.

We really enjoyed the look and feel of the place – the tables were nice and spread out and their was even outside seating which will def be great during the hot summer days. The service was great – waitress and manager ensured we were taken care of which we appreciate. The staff were smiling and friendly as well! overall we would come back here again to and highly recommend!

We went to Sauce & Vine with a big group of moms to celebrate the end of the ice storm and had a wonderful time. For such a new restaurant, they handled a large party really well, even with a few understandable kinks they’re still working out. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome, especially with a large group!

The space is sleek and classy—you truly feel like you’re dining in Dallas proper. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and elevated, making it perfect for a girls’ night or a date night. Such a great addition to the area.

I loved the variety of the menu—there was something for everyone. I ordered the steak and it was cooked perfectly, and everything that came to our table looked incredible. I was especially shocked by how large the shrimp were. I also ordered a Hugo Spritz, which is one of my favorites. The staff was

Overall, a great experience with so much potential. We’re excited to have a place like this in Fate and will definitely be back!

After many years under construction, the long awaited new restaurant Sauce & Vine has finally opened in downtown Fate, Texas. I can quickly confirm that this place easily exceeds any reasonable expectations you may have had. This is the most exciting new food concept I have seen open anywhere in Rockwall County in many years.

Sauce & Vine is just behind Pablo’s in the heart of Fate, and you can’t miss it. This massive modern barn style building is absolutely gorgeous. Stepping inside it gets even better. Somebody spared absolutely no expense thoughtfully decorating and equipping this place.

When I say massive, I mean that Sauce & Vine can accommodate more than 400 guests at once and already employs a team of 75. I tried to remember a 1/1 brand new food concept in this area that has opened with such a huge staff and I couldn’t. I believe we are seeing something here much more ambitious than normal.

The menu features Italian food including homemade pastas and wood grilled meat. The entire back side of menu is dedicated to Neapolitan style pizza, which they cook there with wood in an imported oven. There is something for everyone on the menu, and I was mad I couldn’t try it all in a single visit.

For an appetizer we got spiedini: which is skewers of chicken, sausage, Italian bacon, wagyu beef with firenze sauce, parmesan garlic butter with balsamic steak sauce & buttermilk ranch. The Italian bacon in particular was memorable, and perfect. You can taste the wood they cook with in the meat.

For mains Jessica got the farm grilled chicken breast, sous vide then wood grilled with parmesan basil risotto, charred cherry tomatoes, salsa verde & broccolini. I got something totally different, Spicy Dungeness Crab Pasta! This had jalapeño linguini, Fresno chile, artichokes and herbed tomatoes in white wine sauce with toasted breadcrumbs. SO GOOD.

Jessica remarked how perfect the chicken was, how rich the risotto was, and strangely that this was the very best broccolini ever. She gave me one, and I once again tasted the delicious wood fired taste. Perfect.

The service was dialed in, which I didn’t expect considering they have not been open even a month as of the time of this review. I never went thirsty needing a refill. The place was popping off and it was just a Thursday night. I can easily imagine how popular this place will be when it warms up.

Outside the restaurant has dual sided patio areas, with one being totally finished out with its own bar, heaters and coolers, and even a full stage that collapses into a shipping container. Directly next to the patio, the city has constructed a new playground. Extremely convenient, and pretty much seals the deal for any parent in the area: this is the spot. Period.

My final takeaway is that Sauce & Vine has gone “all in” with the investment. There is not a single evidence of skipped expense, cut corners or limited budget. Quite the contrary, you’ll feel immediately when you enter that whoever paid to make this all possible must absolutely believe in what they have built.

After my experience tonight, I believe too.

An outstanding, upscale, overbuilt and lovingly planned restaurant that will immediately become a cornerstone of Rockwall County dining.

Food has potential but did not live up to expectations. We have been waiting months for this place to open. The place is very beautiful on the inside. I made reservations and when we arrived we were seated immediately. They put us at a small table in the corner. Served was very attentive. We ordered a pizza and sirloin steak medium
Well. The pizza arrived and the pepperoni and sausage looked and tasted of quality. I pulled
a piece from the pie and the middle was soggy. The outside of crust was semi crispy. I rate it a B. If they had just let it cook a little longer the crust would have been much better. A few minutes after the pizza arrived our waiter came over with Parmesan. I was curious why it didn’t come out with the pie.
The steak arrived at the table and my wife and I split it. When she cut into it I could tell it was way over cooked. Worse part is it had no flavor. A little salt goes a long way. The mashed potatoes it came on were bland, no butter flavor or seasoning. The waiter asked us how our steak was and I told him it was way overcooked. He apologized but never offered to have it remade. My wife will be out of the country on Valentine’s Day and I left a comment on our reservation regarding this was an early date. No mention from anyone. Here is another weird thing we noticed the place hold 300 + plus people but the bathrooms only allow room for 2-3 at a time. This is going to be uncomfortable for people when they are busy. We were disappointed. On our way out no one thanked for stopping in. We are foodies and dine all over. I am a yelper so this will be on their site as well. I really hope y’all do better in the future.

Sauce and Vine is a fantastic new addition to the town of Fate. From the moment we arrived, our server John was exceptional and attentive throughout our dining experience.

The imperial crab & shrimp dip was a great start to our meal. We ordered the mushroom gnocchi, and it was hands down the best flavored pasta I have had in a long time. It was rich, flavorful and incredibly satisfying. We also tried the pepperoni pizza, and that was also very yummy.

Great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Sauce and Vine is definitely worth a visit, and we will be back again soon.

Our first visit to Sauce and Vine was overall a pleasant experience, though there’s room for improvement. The restaurant itself is beautiful—clean, open, and very welcoming. We’re already looking forward to coming back when the weather is nicer so we can enjoy the patio.

We were greeted by one of the managers, Pablo, who made us feel welcome right away—like regulars from the start. First impressions matter, and he definitely set a positive tone for the evening.

Although we had a reservation, we chose to sit at the bar. The bar manager (Stephanie, if I remember correctly) was friendly, attentive, and made some excellent drinks. We tried The Airplane, a Dirty Martini, an Oaxaca Old Fashioned, and a classic Old Fashioned—each one was perfectly crafted.

The food, however, was slightly disappointing. We ordered the Yankee pizza and the Sirloin Alexandra. Unfortunately, the steak seemed to have been left on the grill a bit too long and was burnt on one side, which overpowered the flavor. We understand how challenging the restaurant business can be, so we didn’t send it back. The pizza was decent—thin, hand-tossed, and very cheesy. I especially enjoyed the olive oil drizzle on the pizza, which was great as pizza crust dip. – Our total tab for food and drinks was roughly around $125.

Overall, the burnt steak won’t stop us from returning. We’re interested in trying other menu items and will likely explore more dishes before ordering the steak again.

Possibility of updating the ⭐ if future visits are better.
