Sauce on the Side may be quick, and take food and drink orders at the counter, but we are not the standard fast-casual restaurant. After ordering food and drinks, we invite our guests to enjoy a hospitable, full-service experience – food, refills and additional service is provided at the table without the guest having to get up from their seat. Our food is award-winning, craveable and comforting. We make our own dough, prepare our sauces and dressings in-house, chop fresh produce and source high quality meats and cheeses. All of this work, allows us to deliver food to be proud of.

The Roasty Toasty is one of the best things I’ve eaten in a long time … the chicken is finely shredded and it’s mixed with ricotta … The bread is super soft, the pesto is warm. The whole thing is so easy to eat. Delish!

Great calzones! My go to is the bbq chicken one but switched it up with the bullseye to try something new and was like a delicious cheesesteak. Between the cheese and oil, you don’t really even need a dipping sauce. Bonus: free bday calzone or salad.

Since moving into the apartments nearby, I have visited this restaurant many many times. I have dined inside and and most of my meals on a carryout. My favorite meal is the Italian salad with extra meat on it. I have tried most of the other food on the menu and have been completely satisfied with my meal. I really appreciate the service I received from Sheila and Chris. The service I received from the staff was exceptional but Sheila and Chris always provided service beyond my expectations. If I had a franchise, I would definitely want these two people to be on my staff Thank

Absolutely exceptional! I’m from out of town and I have to say this was one of the best I’ve had for a quick bite for pizza style food. The staff was wonderful and polite, the food was incredible, and the restaurant was clean and tidy. If I ever pass through again I will absolutely stop. Also can’t help but note how insanely quiet it was walking up to this location. If it wasn’t so hot I would have eaten outside

Ok, So I’ve loved Sauce on the side from the start. But my girlfriend and myself have had two horrible experiences in a row at this location, and it wasn’t because of the food.
Tonight, Monday September 15, we came to eat about 8:20, all the chairs were up, so I called from the parking lot to see if the restaurant was open. The girl that answered the phone confirmed the restaurant was open, and in a rude tone said she’d put some chairs down then hung up on me while I was still speaking. We almost just went somewhere else, but we decided not to since we already drove from south county. We go in and she takes our order and was still being very short with us. The staff was also definitely glaring at us. It was an extremely uncomfortable and awkward experience for us both and the second bad experience we had because of this same girl. The last time we went before this, we arrived an hour before closing. Before we even ordered, the same girl behind the counter looked at us and said “Are you dining in?” we said yes, then she says in a very rude tone “You know we close at 9, right?”
As someone who has worked in the industry in multiple popular and reputable restaurants in St. Louis I find this behavior horrifying, especially for the owners. This person should not be representing this great establishment. Her behavior is absolutely wild. We will not be going back to this location, which is inconvenient because I don’t always feel like driving to the grove.

Not much on a Calzone person, but they serve one of the best salads I’ve ever eaten. I went to Sauce On The Side on a whim and ordered the Smoke House salad with BBQ Chicken and it was Great. Bravo!

We really wanted to try Sauce on the Side while visiting St. Louis, and man was it worth it. SotS had the best calzones we’ve ever had. Everything is always made to order. The ingredients and spices were rich, and the sauces on the side were that good! We ordered the Garden, Five-O, and Meat Me in St. Louie, and all were fantastic. The cheese melted out of the calzones as we were eating them!
