The food tastes heavenly, and the service is impeccable. We tried the Rameswaram Dosa, Upma Pesarattu, stuffed mirchi bajji and Mango Kesari. We paired this up with filter coffee, which was a great decision. Every dish was made to perfection. You will find that this place also serves a lot of good South Indian dishes you won’t find anywhere else. The service is quick too.
If you are vegetarian, this place is a must. And if you aren’t, come try this and take my word that you will love it.
The dosas are soft and crispy (ifykyk), chutneys are mouth watering and the Sambhar is the best I have tried in the states. I wish I could keep eating this food, but unfortunately there are physical limitations to how much one can eat. I loved the food so much that I forgot to take a picture and pounced upon the dosa. All in all, will definitely visit again and try more of their dishes.
Definitely recommend!
They offer a weekend buffet, including a Saturday brunch from around 10:30 AM to noon. It’s different from a typical buffet—you’re served a large plate with everything on it, and staff come around to refill curries and rice for you.
I didn’t try the buffet since I came specifically to try a couple of items that are hard to find. I ordered dosa, which I really enjoyed. There are many options, and I chose the potato filling.
The pani puri wasn’t quite to my taste. I’ve had better elsewhere—the flavored sauce was a bit too sour and not very well balanced for my taste.
The restaurant is completely vegetarian, and they provide one free bottle of drinking water. Overall, it’s a good spot if you’re looking for South Indian dishes or items that aren’t commonly available.
Every item we tried was excellent — delicious, authentic, and had that homemade touch. I especially liked that they offered Millet Dosa, a healthier alternative to the regular one.
At $19.99 per person, the price is slightly on the higher side compared to other Indian breakfast buffets in the area, but the quality and taste of the food truly made it worth it. If you’re craving an authentic South Indian breakfast experience, Satvik Bhavan is definitely the place to go — you won’t be disappointed!
Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great vegetarian food with excellent service. I’ll definitely be coming back
