(Girlfriend also loved the Matcha lemonade)
I have a nut allergy and was relieved to find the staff incredibly accommodating. They took extra care to make sure my meal was prepared safely and without cross-contamination. My son had his eye on the green eggs and ham, but it came with a basil pesto made with pine nuts—so we flagged that early and they were very careful from there on out. I ended up ordering the burrito—the salsa that comes with it ties everything together beautifully!
My family also enjoyed a pancake and a croissant egg and cheese sandwich, both of which were big hits.
We sat outside in the courtyard, which was quiet and quaint, with birds hopping between the plants and trees. It felt like a little oasis in the city.
If you’re looking for a relaxing spot with great food and staff who truly care, Satsuma is a must-visit in New Orleans.
While there was delivery through food apps just last month, Satsuma is not able to do food delivery for some reason. Whoever the man is that answered my call 2 weeks ago, is not someone I would hire or want touching my food. It’s unfortunate that people bring their misery into service business. The rest of staff is excellent.
I used to frequent Satsuma when I lived in Bywater years ago. I loved the food and vibe there. I was happy to return since moving back and ordered the Breakfast Burrito for delivery and than dined in with my dog within 2 days because I was craving that burrito and the salsa it comes with.
The staff here is so kind and go beyond what I expected. Peter is jovial and treated us like a house guest who needs for nothing. The man washing dishes in back was singing with the music so well, the soul was felt. That’s great vibes I want around my food !
I have got the green juice twice also and got that to go because I couldn’t Not, try the lavender coffee. Also got warmed blueberry muffin with butter. It’s was a real blueberry muffin as in, it tasted like it was homemade with whole ingredients.
Of course it was so delightful. My dog was given a treat the first last week also. Sweet.
They still have books on a shelf here and the places is so spacious and comfortable to stay around. With outdoor seating for pets, I appreciate havens like this.
Always will return here.
AWESOME SERVICE
CHILL ATMOSPHERE
A must stop if you’re in the area. My husband and I really enjoyed coming here (5×) on our stay in NOLA. We are coming back soon and we will for certain be back here. Plus the area is so cute. If you’re not far, I recommend to walk there (weather permitted). Take in the area as well as all the kitties that make themselves at home wherever.
We highly recommend this place.
I had the iced house chai and it is delicious! “A little spicier than mainstream coffee shops” -employee. But totally worth it!
