Good sushi spot with some inconsistency
Satori Sushi has a nice atmosphere and friendly staff, and when they’re “on,” the sushi and sashimi can be excellent — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. However, I’ve noticed the quality of the sashimi can be a bit inconsistent from visit to visit. Sometimes it’s incredibly fresh and melts in your mouth, while other times it’s just okay, not quite at the same level. Great spot for sushi dine-in or to go. Smaller capacity restaurant so sometimes they are packed and there is a wait but it’s worth any wait. We tried the Lion King roll today and it was so delicious and the salmon on top was cooked perfect. Staff are very nice. I really appreciate how clean this restaurant always is also.

Satori is a small, welcoming Japanese restaurant tucked away in Elk Grove — and it’s quickly become one of our go-to spots. It’s usually pretty packed (a good sign), with a clean interior, a sushi bar, and a big TV that adds a casual vibe.
This is my dad’s favorite place, especially for the chef’s choice sashimi plate — he always requests only salmon and Ahi Tuna, and the portions are incredibly generous. The pieces of fish are thick, fresh, and definitely a highlight. (See photo if you’re checking this out on reviews — it speaks for itself!)
I usually order the teriyaki salmon as part of their two-choice bento combo. I like it cooked medium and they always honor special requests, which I really appreciate. That said, cooking consistency can vary slightly — once in a while the shrimp tempura comes out a bit overdone, but most times it’s just right.
The miso soup here is one of the best around — full of flavor and loaded with tofu. I’ve also tried their chicken katsu, and while I’m not a huge fan of the sauce that comes with it, I do love their teriyaki sauce — especially on the salmon or teriyaki chicken.
Their sushi rolls are always delicious, and the menu has a great variety without being overwhelming. The plating is attractive, the servers are friendly, and service is quick — you order and your food arrives fast.
Prices are super reasonable for the quality, which makes this place even better. There’s consistency in the flavors and a sense of pride in the food. Definitely a solid Japanese restaurant that keeps us coming back.

Very delicious sushi and bento box. Dynamite roll indeed have real crab meat, Satori roll was tasty. Chicken Katsu was crispy and juicy at the same time. And we really enjoyed the sesame chicken as well.

Honestly, I’ve never been to a physical location, but this is my to go place for a delivery! I’ve tried multiple sushi places in Elk Grove, but this is the most quick and yummy place. Definitely recommend!

I ordered on Ubereats for a pick up but got there 4 minutes after they closed. They were still SO nice. Food was neatly packed and the take out boxes were loaded! We were so hungry we forgot to take a picture of the food before we started eating so the pictures are after we had ate some. Uber had 2 BOGO’s for the restaurant, a Crunch roll and gyoza. Great deal! Rolls are expensive and you get one free, score in my book. Gyoza is a staple we always get so having more of those was also awesome! We also ordered the pick 2 combo with chicken katsu, pork katsu, chicken teriyaki and sesame chicken and they were all SMACKIN’! Everything was delish like for reals! My husband and I were SO full and happy!

A small place that satisfies your sushi cravings.
The size of the place should not discourage one as they serve delicious food. They do takeout as well.
They have Happy Hour all day long Mondays-Thursdays which is great on those days you do not feel like cooking.
The Staff are always very accommodating and eager to answer any questions one may have.
There are daily special rolls as well.

Food was mediocre! Menu states sushi has crab, not imitation crab, tempura shrimp were not fresh or made in house definitely frozen breaded shrimp. Tempura shrimp were extremely greasy. The grease and texture threw the flavor of the sushi off. For that price point I definitely expected a lot more and will not be visiting again. How did this place get 4+ on Yelp
