Went here for my daughter’s sweet 16 birthday dinner. This place was excellent. The waitress arranged ahead of time on the phone our reservation for 6 and we’re aware it was for a special occasion. They greeted me in private prior to seating us to receive the bday candles I brought for a celebration after our meal. We were given a beautiful table in the center of the open air restaurant. The vibe here was chill night life with good music and disco ball type lights. Awesome plants growing right out of the ground around the tables. All the sushi was soooo fresh and delicious. I would’ve given 5 stars across the board but there was one hiccup and one person in our party didn’t receive their order until almost the entire table was finished eating. I’m not sure if they forgot her ordered, or if it just took a lot longer to prepare, but after we finally notified the server our order wasn’t complete, they brought it out about 10 minutes later. They gave us one free dessert to celebrate the bday, and the other dessert was charged to our tab. It was a bit pricey but not anymore than an American sushi restaurant. Overall, we had a great dining experience here.

Satori is hands down one of the best dining experiences in Santa Teresa. From the moment you walk in, you can feel how exceptionally well-managed the restaurant is—Rosa, the manager, runs the place with warmth, professionalism, and incredible attention to detail. Everything flows perfectly, creating a relaxed yet elevated atmosphere.
The service was equally impressive. Delores, our server, was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable without ever being intrusive. She made the experience feel personal and seamless from start to finish.
A special shoutout to Ro for recommending the mezcal drinks—absolutely phenomenal. Smooth, balanced, and the perfect complement to the food. Easily some of the best mezcal cocktails we’ve had in Costa Rica.
As for the food: outstanding. The tataki was fresh, beautifully prepared, and bursting with flavor. The Satori rolls are a must-try—creative, perfectly balanced, and executed at a very high level. Every bite reflected quality ingredients and real craftsmanship.
Satori delivers on every level: management, service, drinks, and food. If you’re in Santa Teresa and love sushi, this place is non-negotiable.

We were blown away by how delicious and fresh everything was. Our first waitress, Rosia, was so kind and attentive — she took such great care of us! And we have to give a huge shoutout to Manager Rose and bartender Emma, who were the sweetest and made the best drinks. Rose even gave us amazing recommendations for Manzanillo Beach and truly went above and beyond to make our night special.
It was SO good that we came back again the very next day!
If you’re in Santa Teresa, this spot is an absolute MUST. Truly one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had!

Honestly best place we have found after being in santa teresa for a week. But we do also love sushi. Great food and service. Lovely styled interior. Prices were surprisingly fair compared to every other restaurant in the region. Ability to peak into the art library on the second floor was also a treat.

We decided to each family style and ordered a ton of appetizers – and everything was pretty good. The chicken wings are a little salty for my liking but the flavor was there. The drinks were top tier! Would definitely return for the next vacation.

Terrific veggie sushi!! Nice staff and great place. The one downside is the digital menu. We like it personal, not digital and staring to your phone. Would be friendly for elder people too. Please get a paper menu 🙂 Otherwise perfect.

This was our favorite restaurant in Santa Teresa. The food was incredible, sushi was some of the best we had the whole week and the prices were very affordable. For the amount of food you recieve here, you would pay double at other popular sushi spots, the food is amazing at both but my boyfriend and ai were impressed at the food vs cost ratio! Rosia- I believe was her name- our server both nights! Please tell her she’s amazing, calm, attentive and so kind, she even remembered my name from our first night there which was so sweet. She deserves a weekend off soon 🙂 thank you for a great experience during our trip!

We stayed in Santa Teresa for 10 days and we kept coming back to Satori for the food and wonderful staff! Emma and Rocio were so welcoming and friendly! I highly suggest the Subarashi Roll and the Crispy Shitaki Bites!
