Went there for a date, it was a wonderful experience. Had never been there before until today but I’d definitely go back. It was a bit pricey but we each got two entrees. All the food was divine, high quality and definitely worth the price. The mocktails were delicious too. Around the the end of our meal, we got dessert and to go boxes for our left overs.

I’ve been here 3 times now. Everything is super fresh and delicious. I wish I remembered the waitress name. We had her twice now. She is absolutely wonderful.
In my opinion, it’s the best restaurant in Belfast.

Satori is a cozy, consistently excellent Japanese restaurant in the heart of Belfast — a town you might not immediately associate with fresh sushi, thoughtful cocktails, and a refined dining experience, but it absolutely delivers on all fronts.

The fish is reliably fresh, the sashimi is clean and delicate, and the signature rolls — especially the Miso Hungry — are well-balanced and deeply satisfying. Their cocktail menu is outstanding, and the sake list includes everything from approachable bottles to premium selections that show they take their drink program seriously.

The interior is warm and intimate, with a smart layout that gives every table its own space. The lighting is perfectly tuned — not too dim, not too bright — just the kind of low-key glow that makes a dinner feel relaxed and personal without losing any clarity. It’s one of those places where you immediately feel at ease.

The service has been excellent every time we’ve gone. The staff are professional, attentive, and clearly care about creating a good experience. We drive an hour to get here, usually once a month, and we’ve never left disappointed.

Located right by the water in the most inviting part of town, Satori fits naturally into the rhythm of Belfast — a place that already feels like classic coastal Maine. If you’re anywhere in the Midcoast area and want good sushi served with care in a space that feels genuine and thoughtfully run, Satori is well worth the trip.

Nice ambiance and excellent service. We got the dumplings, spicy edamame and a vegetable roll as our appetizers. Vegetable roll was the star.

For our mains, we got a tonkatsu ramen and a vegan ramen. We were very disappointed with the ramen. It was very very watery and didn’t have any flavor. We had maybe 3/4 bites of it and stopped eating it after. Wouldn’t recommend ramen here, and it’s $23 a bowl.

I would, however, recommend checking this place out. Very friendly staff and a nice vibe.

Lovely small restaurant. We began with the hamachi jalapeños appetizer and were disappointed by the red meat hamachi instead of the buttery white meat. The speciality roll and sashimi (served on ice) were just fine, but not outstanding. For dessert, we had a pear persimmon mochi cake with a brilliant vegan caramel sauce (made from olive oil, maple syrup and tamari) but the fruit in the cake was hard/unripe. The prices here are like New York City and not justified by quality or portion size.

Bought the tonkotsu ramen. Tonkotsu is supposed to have a very specific broth. The signature feature (broth) is supposed to be a thick, creamy, and savory.

I would describe the broth as tap water green onion. The pork belly is supposed to be buttery and tender. It was neither.

The only thing going for it were the eggs.

Top ramen has more flavor and is $23 cheaper.

We eat sushi a lot and have done so all over the USA.

Satori is a hidden gem in a small town. We were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed it!

The food is fresh, has a unique twist, and was some of the best sushi we’ve had in a long time. The tempura has an amazing flavor to it as well! The drinks were interesting and enjoyable, the Studio Ghibli touches were cute, and the staff was personable and courteous. We were there as a larger group and when our 6 year old accidentally knocked over their drink, multiple staff members jumped to help us clean it up.

Since we arrive to Maine we’ve been eating nothing but carbs, sandwiches and bread. This was a very nice experience. The hostess answered the phone right away she was very friendly. Meals were perfect, staff members very nice. Erica our waitress was above and beyond. It is so nice to have the perfect combination between good drinks, fresh food and great service. Thank you for all!

We once again had an amazing dinner at this little gem in Belfast. We’ve had our share of sushi, and the food here ranks some of the best. That, and the drinks that the bartender serve are some of the best quality cocktails. We come back again and again for the food and drink but most importantly, the owners and staff that run the place make you feel at home each time you walk through the door, and that’s the type of place we like to support. Thank you!

Gluten free options that don’t disappoint! Great food all the way around.
Wonderful ambience, with a friendly staff that knows JUST the right time to come over. Never felt they were at the table too little or too much, incredibly professional. The service made me feel like I was in the big city.
Very popular place (including take out!) So make sure to reserve your spot. We can’t wait to go back.
