FANTASTIC experience AAAA+++.
What an amazing team, we were warmly welcomed and sat in a booth right way on a busy Saturday morning. The breakfast place we attempted to go to prior had a sign saying they were closed due to staff shortages so after a quick google decided to try this Sassy location.
Beth our server greeted us quickly and got drinks going. The chocolate shake was yummy and hit the spot. I had the French toast, my girlfriend had the Biscuits & Gravy and my daughter had the chicken strips. All delicious!
The pace of the meal was perfect and all the staff were smiling and helpful and made us feel welcome. This is a wonderful, clean, open and bright, safe space and I let Sean the lovely manager know he had a great team! The food was delicious, the portions are huge and we all left with boxes.
We will definitely be back, saving y’all in my faves, thank you so much!

It was pretty crowded but our server, once she arrived, was super friendly. I feel like they were understaffed.
The lattes were huge and tasted great. All the good was really tasty and fresh and came in ginormous portions.
This was a short walk across the street from the Holiday Inn and beats their in-house restaurant for quality and value, in my opinion. Plus… Lattes! We like our espresso!

“I visited Sassy Onion this morning and tried the Sweet Potato Hash. The combination of mesquite chicken, bacon, and poached eggs was good, and it’s a solid dish to start the day.
However, I realized later that they forgot the honey jalapeño gravy, which made the dish feel a bit dry and lacking that extra punch of flavor. Despite that, I’d still recommend it! The service was very friendly and provided a great start to my morning.”

This is my first time coming to the Sassy Onion , I had the apple cinnamon swirl French toast and my friend had the hazelnut banana nut French toast. Mine was really good I like the crispy texture on the outside side. Her hazelnut banana nut was a little on the dry side but still delicious. The staff are friendly and the food only took 10 minutes to be served I would recommend this to my friends as well as strangers. Lol the only complaint I have, which is minor to most people, but the music station was on static the whole time for most people bother it’s not a problem but for me it makes me crazy. Please come and enjoy the sassy onion for their food and and friendly staff This is not a lottery friendly environment. I did didn’t use the restroom so I don’t have any info to give you there.

What a phenomenal place to eat and rest on a long road trip! Rhonda is a shining star and made sure me and my sisters were well taken care of with nothing but smiles and good food! If you’re on the fence to go, and read this? It’s your sign! Go get some down to earth good food from some real good people.

I planned my whole trip around The Sassy Onion from Boise, Idaho to LincolnCity. I try to stop here every time I come to the coast. I have a very bad gluten allergy and I can eat all the gf food here. The chicken strips are to die for. I also had the banana bread French toast, and the daily special which was crab cakes eggs Benedict. My appetizer was a beautiful Bloody Mary made by the beautiful Sarah!(Don’t worry I didn’t eat it all by myself I shared)
The only downside to the sassy onion is they are only open until 2:00 so you’ve got to come early.

Everything is fresh and delicious. We were impressed with the amount of flavor put into the food. The chicken fried steak is homemade, and I’d highly recommend it. The San Diego skillet was packed with flavors. The skillets can also be made into burritos. Try upgrading your hash browns to “sassy” or “spicy”, where they add peppers and cheese. Even the strawberry jam to accompany our toast was homemade.

Look how big and thick this french toast is! They bake their own bread for the french toast. This peachy blintz french toast is even more tasty with mascarpone cream cheese inside it. Very creative!
All the staffs are also very nice and friendly.
Keep Salem “sassy!”

Took my daughter here for breakfast on her birthday. We all really enjoyed our meals. The service was very good, the restaurant was clean and inviting, and our food was delicious. I loved the blueberry pancakes! They were filled with blueberries and very light and fresh tasting. Would definitely go here again!
