I’ve visited the Palmdale/Lancaster area three times in as many months and on this visit a local recommended Sassy Bird as a potential dining venue.. Tonight, I acted on his recommendation..
I ordered the two piece tender basket with coleslaw in place of fries for my side.. I paid the extra $1 to enjoy the Chipotle sauce.. I also requested medium spice..
The tenders are more akin to a full half chicken breast.. Quite large, lightly breaded, and wonderfully seasoned, my tenders were delivered tableside hot and fresh from the fryer.. The coleslaw, though chopped a little bigger than I typically prefer, was cold, crisp, and flavorful, too..
The garlic toast, prepared on a thick slice of Texas toast, was the perfect closer for the meal.. All in all I enjoyed everything about the meal and am thankfull I didn’t order the three tender offering as it would have been too much food for this guy!!

I love sassy bird. I get their burritos often. I love the hot honey sauce they have. However I got food last night and it came with a nice friend on the top of it. Was hard to overlook as it was the first thing I noticed. I was bummed because I got it right at closing and couldn’t go get me another so I just discarded it. Please pay more attention. Big portions, sauce was spot on however chicken needed more seasoning or flavor. Loved the sassy Mac bowl. Strawberry Lemonade was great!! However 3 people it was close to $80.

If you’re looking for the best fried chicken, you have to try Sassy Bird! The owners and their team are absolutely incredible you can tell they’re a family who loves what they do. The food is out of this world. I tried the sandwich, and it was huge, juicy, and packed with so much flavor. The fries were delicious, too. I love that you can pick your heat level, from chill to “Sassy AF.” They’re all about high quality and quantity here, and it shows. The food is worth every bite. I highly recommend Sassy Bird!

Lately, I’ve been checking out all the fried chicken spots, and this time, I found one after work. It’s open almost every day until 11pm. The staff was truly friendly, the food looked good and tasted awesome, and the prices were, to my opinion, fair. I got the double slider with fries and what seemed to me like a street corn on the cob. The fries were fat and crispy. The chicken in the sliders was awesome. Personally, I always prefer some toastyness on my bun, whether it’s a sandwich or a burger. Definitely stop by and have a bite! I almost forgot one of the best things!…they make some awesome homemade lemonades! I tried the strawberry (I wish I had ordered a jug!) and I also tried the raspberry. Great combo for the food! Try it!

Used to be amazing, but quality started slipping around the time they switched from the brown boxes to the red and white ones. I’ve had a few meals that were dry or burnt compared to their usual standard.

Sassy bird is a Nashville fried chicken restaurant. In case you don’t know what Nashville hot chicken is it’s fried chicken with spicy oil for flavor. Sassy bird gets six different types of hot flavor and all of them are amazing. The first time I went here I got the sassy Mack ball. this is a bowl filled with mac & cheese, chicken of your flavor, pickles, coleslaw, and a choice of either fries or tater tots. I personally love tater tots and get them every chance I get, and I think you made a huge difference getting tater tots with his bowl. This bowl was everything I wanted all combined together. It’s packed with flavor and very very filling. Be prepared to want to take a nap after eating his bowl but well worth it. The second time I went there I got the loaded fries. Once again, you can get it loaded fries with your choice of french fries or tater tots or both. So I got the loaded half-and-half, which comes with have fries have tater tots, their sassy sauce, pickles, and coleslaw. I put pictures and the box was literally busting out with these fries. The first bite was phenomenal and I did close my eyes to enjoy it. I highly recommend one of these two dishes for the first time going. It’s a great introduction, but feel free to try everything on the menu because everything is amazing. I will be coming back to this place and I will be trying everything on the menu.

The food was absolutely incredible, the guy taking my order was super helpful and showed me what was popular, the music is okay. However, the prices are kind of high; came out to almost 30 dollars for one item but I split it with my friend, and we both got full. I wish I could come here more, but I couldn’t justify that price for just one person. Again though, the food was incredible, I was sceptical because chicken places are hit or miss, but this place HITS.

First time trying this place because of all the hype I’ve heard. I should have read the recent reviews before wasting time and money. The chicken in the Sassy Grilled Cheese is so dry and has no flavor.
The Sassy Mac Bowl has no flavor. Chicken was okay, Mac and cheese has no flavor, coleslaw is dry and tots were hard and the pickles were nasty. The sassy sauce was bland and did nothing for the food.
Over all save your time and money and head over to Dave’s Hot Chicken.

High price. Service was amazing, nice spot outside to sit on some benches with some pop playing on speakers moderately loud. No indoor seating. When you go to order, the menu is on a TV behind you, which is a little awkward.
The food was great. Had a sandwich, which was like $15 with spicy honey (+3$), which was delicious but not spicy. The soda was $5. Overall, it’s good, but the price is not justified. With taxes, it was like $25 for just a sandwich and a soda. It’s a big sandwich, but that’s too much.
