Classy and elegant restaurant inside of a hotel building. Hostess was kind and attentive! Menu looked interesting so we tried the rigatoni and cacio e pepe. I thought the service was a little slow but they were attentive when communicating directly. I enjoyed the tiramisu martini! I thought the rigatoni was good but I really enjoyed the cacio e pepe! It was so flavorful and really allowed the simple ingredients to shine. Focaccia was also really delicious!

We ended up having breakfast here two days in a row. On the first day, I ordered the traditional breakfast while my husband had the steak & eggs. The next day, I went with the avocado toast, and he ordered the steak & eggs again.

The steak’s quality and flavor are truly unmatched for a steak & eggs breakfast, that alone brought us back. The traditional breakfast and avocado toast were just as impressive, made with super fresh, high-quality ingredients. The service was also a 10/10.

Fantastic dining experience in the heart of downtown Dallas. The rigatoni was among the best I’ve had in my entire life. Nothing short of life changing. Run—don’t walk—and order that dish.

Also amazing: meatballs (appetizer), the filet and mashed potatoes, and the chopped salad. Great vibes and service was also good. Highly recommend!

When I first started dining at Sasetta (2023), it became one of my favorite restaurants. The food was fantastic, everything came out perfectly coursed, and the waitstaff was incredible — attentive, proactive, and genuinely on top of things. I used to leave every visit impressed, with absolutely no notes.

Unfortunately, things have changed. I’m not sure if management shifted, but the service has noticeably declined. On one visit, we weren’t greeted by our waitress for more than 30 minutes, the entrees arrived cold, and several items had to be reminded multiple times before they came out. I returned on a later date hoping for improvement — especially since the dining room was almost empty and only one other table was present — but the experience was almost identical. That same waitress would stop by and then disappear for 20 minutes at a time, making it impossible to properly course our meal or enjoy the flow of appetizers, salads, beverages, and entrées.

What makes this so disappointing is that the potential is still there. The food can be excellent, and I genuinely used to love this place. However, the inconsistency in service is now so extreme that I don’t feel comfortable bringing friends or family here anymore because I never know if we’re going to have a great night or a frustrating one.

I really hope Sasetta invests in training and urgency for their waitstaff, because this restaurant used to be something special. It would be wonderful to see it return to that level again.

The food was excellent if I could put six stars down, I would! The service was also exceptional. The waitress was more than helpful. Had great answers to the types of food and what’s in the food and her recommendation was exquisite. The hostess at the front was also welcoming and convinced us to get food here. She exclaimed that the food was great and she was right! Looking forward to when I can come and enjoy the pasta again!! We ordered the rigatoni!!

Wow! What an incredible experience! I came with my sisters to enjoy a nice meal after a long day at work. We were left beyond impressed with the atmosphere, food (the rigatoni pasta and chicken pizza are amazing), and friendly service. Our server, Michelle, was attentive, courteous, and helpful. The General Manager, Mike, was incredibly kind and engaging, ensuring that our dinner was exactly as expected. We’ll be back!

Had a fantastic lunch at Sasseta Dallas. The Rigatoni with meatballs was absolutely delicious — perfectly cooked pasta and tender, flavorful meatballs. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. Highly recommend!

It was my first time to Sassetta and I was not too impressed. We arrived prior to the dinner rush, so it was not incredibly busy, but it got a little busier as the night went on.

The food was very good. We ordered meatballs and focaccia to start and then ordered pasta for entrees. We were planning on ordering dessert as well, but nixed that plan after dinner.

The appetizers came out as ordered but when the entrees arrived, one of them was wrong. The waitress even confirmed the order prior to walking away. She gave a half hearted apology that she had entered the wrong dish, fine. We asked for a small plate so that we could share some of our food with the person whose food was incorrect and the waitress seemed partly offended. She stated that she would tell Chef something. I think it was something to the effect that we did not want the entree, but I told her no, that we still wanted the entree and that we would just be taking it to go. I was surprised when the entree came out to the table on a plate, as I expected it to be packed up to go. We asked for it to be packed up and asked for a dessert menu. She had a larger party come in and in the meantime we decided to not have dessert there. I got up to see if I could just meet her for the bill, so that we could make our way out of there. Not only did she not take off the additional entree that she added to our bill, but also billed us for some random coffees that we never ordered.

These are all minor things but really colored the experience. I have dined at the Joule (in the past Americano and CBD Provisions) and stayed at the Joule and have always had great experiences. This may have been a one off, but the experience was really poor.

If you ever get Kai as your server, consider yourself lucky! She’s incredibly sweet and funny, she has such great charisma. She was a wonderful waitress who made our experience ten times better. We’ve never had such an amazing waitress, especially considering it was Valentine’s Day and she was so busy! She still managed to check in on us and didn’t make us feel like we were bothering her or slowing her down. She also gave great food recs!!
