It’s ok, better experience than Woodbridge’s Sarku. Overall tho, the food tastes like mall Japanese and Chinese food. Greasy and kinda bland

I have been to many locations and this has got to be the worst location thus far. I have tried to come back to this location three times to see if I would experience a better experience but it has always been disappointing. After waiting almost 20 minutes for them to make my food. It came out cold. I was watching the cook the whole time since you can see straight into the kitchen behind the register. Almost looks like he Preheated meat that was already cooked on the side. The vegetables were cold even though it was supposed to be freshly done. The rice was warm. And the tempora California roll was not even close to the other locations. It fell apart and they didn’t cut it properly so it stuck together. The tables are always very sticky. Will not come back to this location again

I CANNOT with Sarku and employees’ insistence on dumping a gallon of teriyaki sauce on top of the food after it’s cooked. The cook put sooooooooo much sauce on the rice it turned the whole meal into soup. If I wanted rice and beef stew I would’ve went somewhere else. Teriyaki sauce is full of sugar and obscene amounts of it on a meal is GROSS. What makes it worse is that I specifically asked the cashier if the cook dumps extra sauce on the food since the sauce I requested was spicy and this person was like “no”, so either he lied to my face (which makes me not want to go back) or he wasn’t paying attention to what I asked (which also makes me not want to go back). Not all POC like extra sauce on every freaking thing. Sarku is why diabetes is rampant in this country.

The food is just bland. Its just rice and chicken for 11$. The place looks dirty maybe worse than macdonalds. Its better to eat rice at home with teriyaki chicken sauce you buy from the store. Never going again.

Do not order from this location. Beef hibachi is purely pieces of gristle you won’t be able to chew. Nasty stuff!

Really really good food. They got food that reminds me of California, they have a good variety of food from teriyaki comfort food to sushi rolls. We loved the bento box and their specialty teriyaki chicken . California rolls are delicious and the service is great. Returned the next day for more. Also really affordable prices and great staff service!

I went to the store in Capitol Heights, MD. First, I order chicken/shrimp teriyaki with fried rice and a chicken egg roll. Well, I watched as they were preparing the food and they had a lot of I guess door dash orders and mine order was waiting as well. I observed the door dash order were filled with more food than I expected it to have including the vegetables. When it came to my food, I had 5 shrimp and the chicken was so small I could not even tell it was chicken. Also, the fried rice was not fried rice only rice with sauce and peas and carrots added and they charged me 60 cents for that. As for the chicken egg roll, that was not what I got, they gave me a greasy vegetable egg roll that was terrible. The next time I am over there getting my nails done, I am going to ask to speak to the manager who I think was the guy back there cooking. One other observation, I noticed that the wait was long and when the cashier went over and moved my order in front of some of the door dash order, the quantity of food given to me was minimum. I am so mad but trust me I will let it be known that for whatever reason they need to give you more food than what they do. My order was $13.44 and I did not get $13.44 worth of food especially when I ordered shrimp and chicken. They give you a whole pot of rice on the plate then try to cover it up with the little bit of food they are giving to make it seem like you are getting a lot. I think corporate should do better with these stores or close down.

I dunno really how to rate this place, because sometimes it’s going to be delicious, while others it’s going to be better off getting McDonalds. Bento boxes are the best way to go if you want to try a bit of everything, which include dumplings, a meat over rice, a salad, and 4 California roll sushi pieces. It’s a good deal for around $10, and most times it’s going to be pretty good. The salad is great with the sauce, the sushi is alright, the dumplings are godlike, and the meat over rice is… interesting. On most days it’s gonna leave you wanting to leave a good review, but on other occasions that I’ve got it, it’ll wait her just be completely hard and chewy, or taste like a rusty doorknob. If you wanna play it safe, don’t order from this place, but otherwise, it’s not a bad place!
