Sarku Japan at Southcenter is okay for a food court spot. The food is decent, though the rice wasn’t great compared to what I’m used to with jasmine rice. The ordering process is very quick, and it’s nice that they cook the food right in front of you.

The food is fresh and delicious, though it could use a bit more seasoning on both the meat and the vegetables for extra flavor. That said, I still love the food here more than any of the restaurants in the mall. The prices are also very reasonable. I like the fact that I could ask for more teriyaki sauce anytime I asked.

The only reason I go to the mall is to get this. The chicken is the best. This was the line when I arrived. Nobody else had a line. And by the time I got my food it was just this long behind me. I give it at 10.

I usually come here on my breaks as I work in the department store. But today is the last time giving them any money. My chicken was skimped out on and not enough teriyaki. Guy said it was the portion that it comes with the girl after me got more chicken lol CRAZY better off going to ruby thai WAY BETTER PORTIONS

Love Sarku Japan!
The food is always fresh and flavorful, portions are generous, and the teriyaki is amazing. Service is fast, staff is friendly, and everything is cooked right in front of you. Great spot for a quick and satisfying meal. Highly recommend!

Thank you, Sarku, for always being there to feed me! Ever since I was in the 3rd grade, you’ve never disappointed. I still remember how you’d generously give out samples, and to this day, the food tastes just as amazing as it did back then. I could eat here once or twice a week—it’s that good!
If you’re visiting, definitely try the noodles with extra chicken. Although I think they might have removed the noodles from the menu recently, the fried rice is absolutely incredible and worth every bite.

Overall, the food was okay — some were actually tasty. However, the experience itself was uncomfortable. The way the food was scooped into the container felt careless and unpleasant, almost like feeding an outdoor farm dog rather than serving customers.
The staff at the register didn’t speak much English, and during payment we honestly weren’t sure if they even understood our order or if it was placed correctly.
Because of this experience, we don’t feel like coming back.

It was pretty good except she only gave us one fork and there was clearly two people

The food tasted fine I guess. We got the beef and got the absolute smallest bit of beef. There was almost no flavor. Our order got switched to fried rice in place of steamed rice as well.

The gentleman handing out chicken samples convinced me to get lunch here. The food was tasty, and the portions are incredibly generous for the price. The service was super fast and the staff were polite. I’m slightly ashamed that I’ve never stopped here in the last five years. It is in the food court, so very generic seating.
