That said, I did find the food a bit spicier than expected, even for dishes that are usually mild. It wasn’t overwhelming, but if you prefer milder spice levels, it might be worth mentioning that in your order notes. Additionally, I didn’t receive the free drink that was advertised in the Uber Eats promotion, which was a little disappointing.
Despite those small issues, the overall quality of the meal was excellent. The generous portions and authentic taste make Sargun one of the better Indian options in Bendigo. I’ll definitely order again — just with a spice adjustment next time!
In summary: delicious, authentic Indian food with great value for money, though a touch too spicy and missing the promised drink keeps it from a 4.5-5 stars.
I ordered chicken fried rice and chicken biryani. To be honest, I couldn’t notice much difference between the two. The biryani came in a very generous portion, easily enough for two people. The food was tasty.
I placed the order through the Ozfood Hunter app, which was easy to use. The app indicated the food would be ready in 30 minutes, but I arrived in about 15–20 minutes and the order was already ready, which was good.
Hostess was very friendly and helpful.
The menu was extensive and food was very tasty.
Lovely view from the balcony for dining
We ordered all food together from starters to main course and believe me they don’t bothered to ask if they can serve all together, just they brought everything in tray at once, refer my picture here
Panner and Gobi Pakora – serving on leaves, not crispy no taste
Sabji – every thing is cold and not up to the mark because being a punjabi restaurant there minimum standard taste is not even near
Everything was prepared in similar curry base one with green colour one in red
Quantity is so less
Biriyani is average tasted even not served hot average pulav
Only salted and Mango lassi’s were up to the mark
Sorry to say but a disappointing results.
This is , without a doubt , the best Indian restaurant in the area. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm welcome and made to feel right at home. Our server was attentive, friendly and had great recommendations for us. The food arrived quickly and was beautifully presented. The entire experience, from mouth watering food to the excellent service was fantastic.
