The food was amazing. Asparagus soup and French Onion Soup were divine. Beef was perfectly cooked and great flavour. Duck breast a tiny bit overcooked but the flavours were amazing and I still thoroughly enjoyed it.
Went to saraya gallery with my bestfriend for his birthday, upon arrival the waitress asked us on the door if we would like to see the menu before going inside, then the steaks we ordered arrived very late and medium well instead of well done, they tried to make it well done but failed twice until we just left
Day absolutely ruined not recommended at all. Overpriced for the worst service.
I visited the restaurant to arrange for a celebration dinner for a special event a little after midday and met with a waitress (whose name I’ll skip out since she can’t be held accountable) and the manager (who is the person I seriously question here).
After making arrangements for the time, date, the menu of choice, the number of guests and leaving, I recieved a call later that day (7 pm) that the menues I had taken a look at are oudated and I should either consider the à-la-carte menu or a set menu from other restaurants.
It’s a tiny bit questionable that the management had no clue that the menues were outdated & even more suspicious that they said the new menues had not come in; almost forcing me into a-la-carte options for this.
Then comes the actual dinner; we’ve ordered a few classical dishes from the french cuisine and I was yet again disappointed.
The classic onion soup in which the cheese is the KEY had an extremely heavy cheese layer; one that neither melted nor easily disintegerated/grated within the hot soup. If you fail to choose the proper key ingredient of such a traditional dish, please do not associate with the French cuisine.
Then came the mains, we had the duck and the chicken dishes.
One of the duck dishes arrived undercooked and we had to send it back.
The grilled chicken was really dry, and undermarinated to put it mildly.
The only positives were the service and the atmosphere. The waiters were professional, well-trained and prompt to attend to our requests. The gallery is an admirable sight and the music set the mood right.
It’s a shame that the cuisine was so disappointing and still doesn’t sit right with me that the management is clueless about updates; making this look more like a scam than anything.
