This restaurant had a little chaotic layout, requiring walking past the pickup from where we entered, but that didn’t take away from the experience. The decor was engaging, the staff welcoming, and the food was filling and hearty. Shakes were made skillfully, and the costs were decent. This is a popular place to eat and I can see why. Parking was tight, but that was to be expected in such a location.

The food was good and the atmosphere was in a way fun. The food was cooked well and tasted good as well. These 2 pictures are of a 1ft long hot dog,a kielbasa,onion rings, and zucchini fries. All the meal combos come with a drink and sides. It’s a little pricey,but it’s still worth the time to go check it out. Plus,all the kids ate everything and didn’t leave anything either. The milk shakes as well are really good,not badly priced either.

I had a bacon cheeseburger combo meal with onion rings and a chocolate shake. The ordering area was chaos, you couldn’t tell where the line to order was, and who was waiting TO order vs who was waiting FOR their order so some people were just walking in and cutting in front of people. The burger was ok, it was cooked well but clearly wasn’t all beef you could tell fillers were added. The cheese on it was good, and the lettuce and tomato were fresh. Adding ketchup, mayo, etc. at the pump station was challenging because there was no space to put your tray down, so yeah hold your tray, position your burger and pump all with just two hands! The onion rings were good and crispy. The chocolate shake ( they call it a fudge shake) was ok, but not even close to the best I’ve had. The location was great right outside of Presque Isle State Park.

Sara’s is an Erie Legend… fun indoor and outdoor seating, parking is good, drive thru is fantastic with a real person outside to take your order. Stick to the Smith’s hot dogs and ice cream options though, they are Heavenly! As for the burger…definitely not fresh, the bun was delish but the mystery meat was a total loss and the onion rings were soggy… Thank God I got a PeanutButter Milkshake, absolutely the best I’ve ever had anywhere! This is a Must Stop in Erie…some fresh menu items would be welcomed… chicken burgers or gyro salad, etc. Overall, I love it!

The service was exceptional – the line is always long but they move people through really quickly! And even though there were a ton of people there (there always is), the amount of time we had to wait for our food after ordering was only a few minutes. The food was hot and fresh and yummy! And their orange and vanilla twist cones are amazing – tastes like childhood! I highly recommend Sara’s – we make sure to stop there whenever we are in Erie!
