Delightful dinner: loved the homemade pasta, hospitality and red wine suggestion. The Nutella bites were a warm cozy way to end the meal on a sweet note. nice that they have some reserved parking spaces. will have to return to try happy hour and the rest of the menu.

I spent such a good time after working day. They kindly helped me with parking place. And brought me Italian wine and tasty dinner. I love that atmosphere is pretty chill and not loud. Definitely will be back soon.

I can’t say enough about this place. The food is fantastic, the service is impeccable and they have great wines. Try the charcuterie. As it’s a small location, I would recommend reservations. However, I always sit at the bar. Their bartender is great.

This was one of my favorite places to go to while I lived in LA. The local vibe was just want I needed on a week night. The staff is always friendly. The food was always good. So if you’re looking for comfort Italian while in LA in an upscale environment, go here.

I met a friend for Happier Hour at Sara the Wine Bar. This Italian restaurant does not disappoint the taste buds. Just thinking of the wine and menu items makes my mouth watery.

Sara The Wine Bar & Restaurant has been sitting quietly on Sepulveda Blvd for many years going back to when Culver City was a good place to get a smog check but fine dining, no way! I found myself working nearby and went for lunch one day. One of the best salads ever. Four years later and I know the owner and the staff. Now that they’re open for dining inside again, my wife and I went for dinner recently and now that Google nudges me to write a review everywhere I go, I had to write about one of my favorite restaurants. The food is special as it tastes homemade with its own special qualities. Their salads are A+++. If you order a pasta with any of their sauces, ask for bread because you’ll want to wipe the bowl clean. Best of all is the prices are better than reasonable. The wine selection is very good and again, prices are moderate. Go, eat, drink, and enjoy.

Food was very very good!
The service, however, wasn’t great. I went with 3 friends during their happy hour and sat at a table. We tried to order from the happy hour menu and were told that happy hour is only at the bar(this is not stated anywhere in their marketing or at the location). We offered to move but were told not to worry, that we could get happy hour pricing from the table. I understand that this is special treatment and we appreciated that but didn’t appreciate how we were treated afterwards. We initially ordered just some house wine and appetizers from the happy hour menu. We are all in our mid 20s and look young so I think the waitress expected us not to order any more. After that, despite continually making eye contact and trying to indicate that we were ready for entrees, we were ignored for a very long time. The tables around us were all attended to but we were continually ignored even though we wanted to order more. When we were finally checked on we ordered another round of wine and 5 pastas, then a 3rd round of wine and 5 desserts! I hope the waitress realized that it was unfair of her to profile us for being young. I would have preferred to move to the bar rather than to have been ignored, and considering we offered to move I don’t think it was fair that we were treated unkindly.
4 stars because I saw that there was potential for good service, if the waitress liked you.

I come here all the time. Love the service and the food is very authentic. Now they have Brunch on the weekends! Which is awesome. They have mimosa specials, lattes and avocado toast with poached eggs. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

I strongly recommend Sara the Wine Bar on Sepulveda in Culver City for anyone who enjoys wine and Italian cuisine.

I fell in love with the gluten free Polenta! Under the hot plates section and only $13, the home-style corn meal is on a bed of homemade bolognese sauce, topped with Parmesan cheese, which can be left off if you’re lactose intolerant.

The service is top notch and they have a good amount of indoor seating, as well as a bar. To make a reservation, call during their business hours – they open at 5pm.

Bottles of wine are 10% off, so our group shared 3 of the chilled red 2020 vintage of Domaine de Fenouillet Ventoux, Rhone, France, which went from $44 to $40. If you’re going with multiple people, I recommend saving and splitting a bottle.
