Reviews
They seated first comers at the windows for max panoramic view. Awesome even on a cloudy night.
Before we tried this restaurant we assumed it was swanky and expensive. Atmosphere is tasteful, yes, but we didn’t feel out of place, and prices were relatively reasonable as sit-down places go these days.
With cloth tablecoverings, sapphire napkins, nice dinnerware and oil candles, it’s got the ambiance for a celebration meal or a romantic evening.
This isn’t McDonalds; build in plenty of time to enjoy the experience.
Management added surprise extra touches. I’m not telling you how, in case they can’t do them for everybody on busier nights .
Everything we ordered was perfectly done. Savory grilled steak and roll on the French dip sandwich. Sapphire Burger exactly medium-well. Fries ultra crispy and hot.
That Sapphire Burger with the bacon jalapeño jam! Components more upscale than your fast-food burger, and they add up to an amazing sandwich.
Our waitress was Jasmine, she was warm, friendly and made us feel very welcomed, always asking us if there was anything we needed. The meal was as awesome as our waitress. The turkey was tender and the gravy savory, but my favorite was the rice pilaf which I topped with their green bean casserole ( another favorite). Their apple crumb pie had a amazing crispy topping that tasted like it had been glazed with some kind of caramel coating on it, not sure what it was, but it was addicting. The occasion was made even more memorable by the unforgettable view of this beautiful city of Jefferson that I don’t think can be found at any other restaurant besides Sapphires, Thank you for a wonderful time and a happy Thanksgiving.
They didn’t have enough help, so half of the restaurant was closed. Our group of nine ordered our meals. My wife ordered iced tea which was horrible. She then ordered a coke and received another iced tea.
My salmon with teriyaki sauce was excellent. One of our group ordered the cajun pasta which was very good and lots of it.
While waiting I took several pictures of Jefferson City. They were amazing. Before we left we had a group photo taken. It was a nice way to end the day.
The less good: $25 for a breakfast buffet!?!
Omelette was greasy.
Milk was by the carton.
No orange juice.
Gravy for biscuits was cold. Not lukewarm…COLD.
Offered artificial creamer rather than half/half.
No menu online.
This is what $25 gets you?
The staff was polite and kind.. when we visited there wasn’t any crowd but the food still took a while to be served. But it was worth the wait and was delicious. They do not have a very extensive menu but the dishes taste well. They also have chef’s specials on the menu varying each day so you might want to check in on that.
