We hosted a birthday party in the private room at this Italian restaurant, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The room was beautifully set up, giving us privacy while still feeling connected to the warm atmosphere of the restaurant.
The food was unbelievably good—authentic Italian flavors, fresh ingredients, and generous portions. Every dish, from the appetizers to the dessert, was spot on. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was.
The service was outstanding. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure every detail was taken care of without us even having to ask. They made the whole celebration smooth and enjoyable.

I’d really hoped for a finer dining experience, but ended up being good and just a bit better than average. The restaurant has a great atmosphere. The service was definitely above average. However, the food left me wanting for more. I had the veal parmesan paired with Caesar salad as you guys all know that is one of my favorites. To start, the Caesar salad was creamy but lost the flavor one would expect from true Caesar salad. The veal parmesan was a thicker cut than normal, which is appreciated, but a little bit oily. The marinara sauce seems to be missing some flavor that should have been there. The base tomato was overwhelming, and I definitely missed the oregano and parsley flavoring. They use top-quality mozzarella cheese though, so that’s definitely a plus in their favor. The final item I had was the bourbon oldfashiond made with woodford. Everything was great, except I expected a clear ice cube. I know it seems a little bit picky, but when you’re going for the five stars, you have to hit the mark on everything. The rest of my group enjoyed their dinners but had the same feeling. It just seemed to not hit that five-star rating. As this is a local spot for me, I will continue to try it again and hope to add a follow-up review in the future. I would definitely call this solid 4 stars.

I went to sapori, an authentic, homemade Italian restaurant just like when I grew up for the first time sat at bar served by jay, she was prompt in greeting smiled and made me feel welcome. Great ambience courteous staff had the pappardelle al funghi. I will definitely be back and looking forward to sharing with some of my friends this great experience.

Absolutely horrible. Will not eat here again. Initially, drank the water poured from a carafe. Tasted like bathroom water. Everyone at table agreed and they brought different water. Next, got my glass of Stella – warm. And two others returned their drinks – a margarita and a sangria. They brought my chicken tortellini soup and it was lukewarm at best and tasteless. Now for my entree of paparadelle and meatballs – need I say – cold, as was everyone’s meal except one. Everything sent back. Service was excellent but a really terrible experience on NY eve.

We had been there before and were pleasantly surprised with the remodel and uplifting experience. The dishes are served much nicer and the food is delicious! Our server was super nice and very helpful recommended great dishes and cocktails.

My wife and I have just moved back the Washington area after living on the west side of the State for 20 years. As my mother’s family is from Abruzzi (Sulmona) Italy and they know how to cook, I grew up with a love for good Italian cuisine.
We have been to Sapori seven or eight times in the last few months and each time has been a very good experience. From the time we walk in the door the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable. The front desk staff is always pleasant and helpful. The waitstaff has been knowledgeable, cheerful, attentive, and a pleasure to be with. I would like to especially say that Victoria, Cassidy, Giacomo, and the bartender (I forgot his name) have made our time there very enjoyable. I have not met the kitchen staff, but obviously we really enjoy their efforts. The regular menu items and the specials we have ordered, have all been prepared very well. The Pescatore and the seafood specials have been favorites for us, though everything has been good.
My wife and I have traveled extensively, including through Europe, and this restaurant is very good. Excellent restaurants are not easy to find and we appreciate them when we do, because they are not easy to create and operate. The ownership, management, and the team work hard to create a special place with an exceptional dining experience. We look forward to continuing to come regularly with our family and friends to enjoy the food, people, and atmosphere of Sapori.

Great place to go! I enjoy sitting at the bar area and chatting with people. I dine alone usually, and I don’t have to feel uncomfortable. Wonderful staff, very welcoming!

We enjoyed our evening at Sapori. They did a great job. I had the mushroom ravioli and my wife enjoyed the scallops. They have Frank Family Chardonnay which is one of our favorites. We had a reservation for 6:30 pm and had a nice table next to the fireplace. Desert was also excellent. Parking was easy.
