First time patronizing, the ambience is astounding. The food is authentic although it was semi slow service with no customers at the time I was there. The sorrel drink was not authentic true to Caribbean culture however it was a nice mixture. The con to here is be prepared for the built in gratuity even if your alone sitting at the bar. Very pricey with lack of parking .

Carrie is the sweetest and gives the best recommendations!! I got the ginger creole branzino and my friend got the curry goat and roti. She never misses a detail and treats her customers like home. She’s informative and her personality is above and beyond!!! Will be back for sure 🙂 <3

I ordered through UberEats because I was feeling lazy. My order arrived about an hour later; I live about fifteen minutes away. I was highly disappointed in the portion size. The chicken curry was in a container that was roughly the same size as the coa coa bread. The bread was very VERY dry. I remember eating here a few h years ago. It was fair. I didn’t enjoy it at all this time. I definitely didn’t receive $45 worth of food and no this doesn’t include all the fees UberEats charge.

My experience at Sapodillas was wonderful. Ms. Kitts was absolutely fantastic so sweet, professional, and caring. It felt like visiting your mom because she makes you feel genuinely cared for. I ordered the plait bread and black cake; everything was delicious . She genuinely went above and beyond for me. In the name of Jesus, I pray that this business continues to thrive with Jesus’ protection and guidance.

The owner was so rude to me! I ordered Oxtails takeout and wanted my rice and peas separately because I didn’t want it to soak up my gravy. Ms. Kitt got and attitude and started complaining and screamed “GIRL, I did what I could do!”
Was my request that hard? It was just a simple request.
She truly ruined my evening and I will NEVER return to this etablishment again.
To add, she put the oxtails in the small side dish instead of the main dish compartment. So, I paid $25 for an appetizer and I received a bunch of cabbage for my main entrée…smh
Our purchase was a total price of $73.

It’s a hit or miss with the quality of the food and also the quality of the customer service. I ordered $80 or $90 worth of food. I received some subpar tasting food. They were really slow and I kept getting the let me take this person who already ordered before you. This turned into an hour’s wait for food that was already ready as I had an easy order. Then they gave me h the e wrong food as I received several spinach patties instead of the jerk chicken patties that I ordered. Very frustrating. After coming here since 2009 and driving an hour and a half each time I come to eat at this place I find it is no longer worth it. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Don’t say I didn’t warn you and how down hill this place has gone.

Great food but poor attitude towards customers. I wanted to order rice and peas with a scoop of curry goat gravy on top, the old lady ( seemed to be the oldest lady in the restaurant) no only told me “no” when I offered to pay extra for it – but accused me of “twisting the worker’s arm” trying to make her give it to me. What? I always get the vibe the they really aren’t fans of Black American people. With the being said , the food is decent. If they would lose the attitudes – they would have more customers.

The food is okay. It had been several Years since I’ve visited but yesterday 6/8/17 I stopped buy to get the veggie platter. I got cabbage, spinach, curry potato, chickpeas and rice. The chickpeas were a bit bland and the cabbage was too sweet . The potatoes were really the best on the plater. All this plus a fountain sorrel cost about $14. The food wasn’t as flavorful as it once was. But I’ll stop by for a sorrel drink every now and then.

One of the best curry goat roti I have had in years. It’s hard to find a good traditional Roti in this area & I must say Sapodilla’s has it. Roti skin is perfect & they definitely fill it up nice with plenty goat & everything well seasoned. Also, if you love Mauby ❤️ , theirs reminded me of my Great Aunts. Perfectly made, sweet and not too bitter
Regardless of which island in the West Indies you come from, you will love the food. Taste like it’s made with love & tradition.

Food is delicious and tasty and the portion size is big and price is fine. The beef and chicken patties are nice and spicy. Jerk wings and stew chicken was not that spicy but fall off the bone and tasty.
