I was on a college visit to the University of Alabama with my daughter and I decided to find a local restaurant and bar to stop in at that was very close to the college. Doing some searches I found Santo Street eats and bar near me and so I decided to pop in and give it a try. I was greeted by two young men that were very polite and professional for their age. I had to get a picture with them to help make them internet-Google famous!
The food was really good and I can imagine this place being a regular go-to for me if I were local. I’m sure it’s a great place to come and have a few drinks or even sit out and relax on the back patio that they have there.
I recommend that you stop in and give them a try. The bacon ranch quesadillas were really good. My daughter ends up going here, I’ll definitely be back.

I highly suggest the Birria Tacos with Mexican Rice and Bacon Refried Beans. Bursting flavors.
And their patio is beautiful with plenty of space for large groups, parties (especially watch parties )

Absolutely loved Santos! I was so excited to try it out since I know it’s new to town and it is amazing. Had the salmon tacos and they were delicious. Great atmosphere and I love all the furniture. Will definitely be coming back!

Eating at Santos is a great experience overall. The atmosphere of the staff and customers, especially during football games is such a fun and positive experience. Also the food straight 10/10. There are no complaints about anything on the menu (the mac and cheese is bomb). The staff are super friendly and also make sure to help with any questions and just love you chat and get to know you. My favorite place by far on campus .

Santos Street Eats is an absolute must if you’re in Tuscaloosa.
The food is excellent, and way above your typical college-town options. The birria tacos alone are worth the trip. The patio is a huge highlight: dog-friendly, spacious, and lined with TVs so you can catch every play on game day. Plus, it’s just a short walk from Bryant-Denny Stadium, which makes it the perfect spot to meet up with friends before or after the game. Whether it’s a weekend hangout, a casual night out, or a family visit, Santos delivers a great atmosphere and even better food. It’s already one of the best new spots in town.

We had lunch last minute at Santos with friends we were visiting for the LSU game. It was the best choice we could have made! The food was wonderful. Generous portions, flavor was on point and cocktails were wonderful! Our local friends had never heard of Santos but we definitely found a hidden gem! Being from New Orleans, a foodie city, nothing here can beat Santos!

My server Landon was amazing!! Great skinny margs but wish the chips + Salsa came before the food. Additionally, they should have more sauce for the Birria tacos. Landon is pictured below.

Incredible food in a casual environment. I had the Street Corn tapas and then catfish tacos – I highly recommend both. The service was top notch. I consider this a must visit on every trip to Tuscaloosa in the future.

Honestly just terrible all around. We asked multiple questions about what we were ordering. All of that information was wrong and we ordered something that we did not know we were ordering (we were told something else). Then they brought out something we didn’t order twice. And didn’t comp my meal when I didn’t eat anything on my plate after they asked. Overall never ever going back so disappointed. Drinks were good tho. Only thing I would recommend. Literally will never go back.
