Kuttanadan Santoor restaurant is a real gem in Hyde Park. I went for the South Indian staples, and the food didn’t disappoint—the parottas were perfectly flaky and the prawns had a great kick to them. The surprise highlight was definitely the ribs, which were super tender and flavorful. If you’re looking for authentic flavors that feel like a step up from your usual curry house, this is the spot. I’ll definitely be back!

My friend and I discovered this restaurant by chance, and we were pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was. Since chicken is my favorite protein, we couldn’t resist ordering a variety of chicken dishes: chicken tikka masala, chicken curry, and butter chicken, paired with a side of garlic naan. The butter chicken was the standout for me–rich, creamy, and perfectly sweet. The chicken tikka masala was also good, though I would’ve loved a bit more spice. Unfortunately, the chicken curry fell short, lacking in flavor. Overall, though, I’d recommend giving this restaurant a try.

We had a delicious meal at Santoor tonight! The food was fresh and flavorful and the staff was very friendly and attentive! Shout out to Shervani (hope I spelled that right) for making sure my dish was not too Spicy! I Highly recommend this restaurant.

This was a very cozy and pleasant spot. Customer service was very Satisfactory and kind. They have an array of food available and it is self serve/ seating. Clean facility with unisex bathroom and free mall parking. On Sundays they have more items out for self serving and you can order items that are not out on the buffet.

The weekend buffet is great. The spread has both veg and non veg dishes. The butter chicken is my favorite, perfectly flavored and not over the top sweet and oily. Do try it.

My wife and I came here for lunch after checking out of our hotel. Santoor had buffet style lunch, which was really good, and we were craving Indian. It was lunchtime, so it was empty. It seemed that once we came in, though, many others started coming in also. Maybe we arrived close to open time . It was so relaxed that we even had a glass or two of wine . We will definitely be back here with friends

Watch out for the extra add on. All Prices charged on the bill are higher than prices stated on menu. Water carafe was dirty & greasy. Service charges added for bigger group. Some Items were charged twice. Be careful. WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT.

Tried some indian food with my family at NY .First time at Sandoor and now it may be my go to. Definitely a fine dining establishment that lives up to its customer service and food quality. The service, and the food was amazing and so considerate . We tried the Sunday brunch buffet was phenomenal and extremely delicious. So many great choices, i personally like the grilled chicken kobabas are extremely juicy and tender. My 4 year old daughter really likes those because it’s not that spicy at all.
The brunch buffet is reasonably priced and worth it so I will definitely be back. I consider Sindoor my hidden gem in NY and I can’t wait to share with more people.

My friend raves about the buffet at this spacious Indian restaurant located near a small shopping area. There is paid parking out front but, the parking is free in the back. They haven’t been back since COVID but, they been on numerous occasions with their family prior. We came on a Saturday morning to take advantage of their $15ish lunch buffet deal.

Upon entry, we were promptly seated and got our plates. The buffet was a bit smaller than in the past. They had one soup, salad, 3 appetizers, naan, white rice, a chicken dish, dahl, goat curry, and a veg entree and two desserts. The food was tasty but, I wish there was more of a selection. The dahl and the chicken tasted delicious but, the chicken had bones in it. I don’t really care for bones in my curry. While the staff did a good job keeping the buffet stocked, one time I picked up naan and it was still doughy. My friend and I both enjoyed our meal and thought it was an affordable price.

I am not sure if they have a rotating menu but, I can understand why this is a neighborhood favorite because of the tasty food at affordable prices. The staff was friendly but, one of our waiters was a bit absent-minded. She sat us down and didn’t even ask if we wanted anything to drink nor did she check in on us.
