Best enchiladas I have had in my life and my family is Hispanic. Absolutely amazing, I am just mad it took me 4 years living in Charleston to find this place. We drove from Moncks Corner and will do it everytime now. Thank you thank you for the amazing fresh made food!

Santis in West Ashley is a solid spot with a great atmosphere and friendly service. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and keeps things moving, which makes it an easy place to stop for a casual lunch or dinner. The restaurant itself has a lively vibe and is usually clean and well maintained.
The food is okay overall, not bad by any means, but not standout either. Portions are decent and everything comes out hot and fresh, but some dishes could use a little more seasoning or uniqueness to really elevate them. It’s reliable and consistent, just not something that completely blows you away flavor-wise.
That said, it’s still a good neighborhood option, especially if you’re looking for a relaxed meal, quick service, and a comfortable place to sit and enjoy yourself. With a few tweaks to the food, this place could easily be a 5-star experience. I’d definitely come back

I really wanted the food to be amazing. It was good; however, I had higher expectations. Maybe tonight was an off night.
The environment and staff are fantastic. The decor is just fabulous! This place is definitely fun to have drinks and chill.

The best Mexican place! They have the cutest decorations and the friendliest staff! I always order the mamas specialty, delicious soup and the queso fundido dip is amazing

I think that these people that are writing reviews here to be honest, and being just and fair, are comparing their downtown location that has been there twenty years to this newer one?And they’re both different locations with a different appeal factor. the decor is absolutely beautiful inside.First and foremost the food is authentic mexican food and nothing is perfect in life. i’ve been here five times and five times there were consistently solid. the drinks were amazing and tasty. The chips and salsa are out of this world. So it’s the queso like everyone else says. We always come here or the one in downtown for lunch tjzn we go have coffee at Blum Coffee . Our friends lovz Santis and we’re happy that this west ashley location has now opened.

This restaurant has the absolute best atmosphere- relaxed, quirky, and charming. I think it’s worth it just to soak in the ambience. Food isn’t the best to be honest, but the menu is varied. Really though you’re going here for the vibes, not the food- the fact that they serve food and drinks is just a plus.

Beautiful location, especially with all the Christmas decor. The frozen peach margarita was very good, and the house lime margarita was good.
Chips and salsa, as well as the queso were also good.
Unfortunately the main courses were not good. We had the the chimichanga and the Bistek à la Mexicana. The chimi was soggy and had a weird creamy texture, definitely looked like it had been microwaved instead of fried.
The bistek was a jumbled mess of meat in between overflowing beans and rice on either side. The meat was basically inedible, as I had to pull pieces out of my mouth because they were impossible to chew, I had over a dozen pieces of meat that chewed like a rock.
Service was eh, it was reasonably busy, but we received the wrong drinks two times.

Its okay. The hype on this place must solely rely on the atmosphere. The pastor taco was good, the steak taco was not good. The service was mediocre and slow. Food wasnt bad but wasnt good either. The price is great. The affordability and the entertaining atnosphere makes it popular for families. But a young/no kids/date night couples(unless your drinking) would find this meal lack luster and nothing special. Just like every single other mexican resturaunt in the area…truly.

Santi’s is a Charleston institution, however I had never been, so I was excited to try it, what a massive disappointment! The menu is extremely limited, the chips are terribly oily and rock hard, the service is atrocious, snail’s pace with no niceties. I think the decor is the only thing they have going for them. For food and service I’ll go to Los Reyes.
