My birrea was great!! Not to mention my morning michelada. Every time I come thru here from the bay, I always stop here to eat. Don’t forget to take a bottle of michela mix for home made micheladas!!

Took my sister on a day date and drive we left from Los banos headed down mercy springs to drive up the five, with no particular destination in mind. We decided to stop of in Newman for some Mexican food and landed on Santi’s.

The food had no taste at all. Beans were bland, rice was cold, dry and bland too. The flautas were braking apart because they were over fried, the beef inside tasted like chalk. Most disappointed was the salsa for the tacos, no spice, no salt and no flavor. I wanted to give them a second chance but once again, Santi’s was disappointing.

I’ve ate here several times over the years and it’s typically okay. I found a mosquito in my rice once but didn’t hold it against them. But after my last visit I won’t be back. This weekend we ordered breakfast burritos and as soon as I opened the bag I could smell something was off. It smelled like rotten meat. Low and behold the bacon was bad. I took 3 bites and threw the rest out. Still ended up with food poisoning the rest of the day. There’s no way the cook didn’t smell that rancid smell.
