Informal destination for spicy chiles & a menu of standard Mexican fare including combo platters.

The food is amazing, no doubt about that. Very consistent on that front.
However, I ordered an Enchilada Plate, it includes beans and rice with 3 Enchiladas. What I got instead was a plate with 3 Enchiladas only, no beans and rice. I asked if I could get the beans and rice, and they brought me the two sides.
At the time I thought that was okay… But when I saw the ticket, I was charged extra for the beans and rice, when the Enchilada Plate included them in the first place.
If you eat here, make sure you don’t get overcharged. Service was mediocre at best as well.

Best cheap-eats Mexican Food in Denver. Very little decoration; just focused on the food. Large portions at a very reasonable price. Yes, the breakfast burritos are amazing. But lunch and dinner options are great, too.

Hadn’t been here in a few years. May be great for some but we won’t be back Stood up front for awhile, no sign saying wait/seat yourself. Just stood there, took awhile to get help..4 tables , not busy. Pretty awkward and rude. Wanted a chile relleno, received what seemed like a canned chile wrapped in a wonton wrapper and fried a little, still raw on the inside..couldn’t find any cheese. Disgusting. Pretty Disappointing, won’t be returning.

Busy! So slammed when I went (like all their locations). Best handheld breakfast burritos (as everyone knows), the hot isn’t hot anymore, which is a bummer. But it’s been years since they changed the recipe to this milder green chili. So very much a “back in my day!” Complaint that doesn’t matter anymore. Still always stoked to eat here

Food was great!
They have a small menu but everything is delicious and they’ve definitely perfected their specialty. The chips and salsa are not free-flowing… however, totally worth the stop if you love authentic tamales and green chili. We prefer our food “smothered” in the 1/2 and 1/2 (hot and mild green chili sauce mixed).
The building is a renovated dance club so nothing special or fancy but the food is what you come for.

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants. Their green chili is amazing and very hot unless you get the mild. Reasonably priced and oh so good!

i went by Santiago’s to get a few things as sides for the tamales I have at home. I paid $10 for a side of rice and beans and some guac. The rice and beans is fine at three dollars for a side order, but then I paid four dollars for what I thought was gonna be a full container of guac. When I get home, I found out that I get one ice cream scoop of guac for four dollars.

This review will seem like I’m a homer but, nope I just love the food!
As a native of Denver, I know and absolutely love “Pork Green Chile”, and Santiago’s has some of the best. I’ve moved to Oklahoma now and whenever I go home, I make sure to stop and a least get a smothered, deluxe burrito with half-n-half Green Chile (meaning hot and mild mixed). Trust me try the half-n-half before going for hot.
If I have time to sit and eat, it’s usually the beef enchilada plate with Red Chile. Comes with 3 enchiladas, beans and rice. I like fresh chopped onions on top.
Santiago’s is also well known for other dishes and especially the breakfast burritos!
I don’t have a complaint, but this isn’t the place to go if you’re looking for fancy decorations and table service. These restaurants are about “GOOD FOOD”!!
