We really enjoyed the upbeat, lively atmosphere paired with beautiful waterfront views, which made the experience feel relaxed and special right from the start. The staff was consistently friendly, attentive, and prompt, making us feel genuinely welcome without being rushed. The Cuban food was outstanding-flavorful, fresh, and clearly well made, with care and attention to authenticity. It was the kind of meal and setting that makes you want to linger just a little longer.

Our search for great flavor led us straight to Santiago’s Cuban Cuisine. We both had the Lechon Asado, and it was perfect—tender, juicy, and packed with savory, garlic-citrus notes, topped with wonderfully crispy skin. Every side dish, from the beans and plantains to the rice, was delicious. We also loved the Flor de Cana 12 rum recommended by the owner. Nice comfortable seating at the bar and in the restaurant, truly outstanding experience thanks to the incredible food and hospitality

As we were about to order, I quickly skimmed the reviews and someone had mentioned that they have the best croquetas ever, and I totally agree. The croquetas were great and so were the pork roast, congri (rice with beans) and the tres leches. The service and ambience both were also amazing, added onto by the cute table lamps- but do tap on the top to switch it on, in c a se its off.

We stopped by a few days ago when in the area. The food was pretty good overall. My partner got the chicken sandwich, which he did like. He just wished he got cheese because he felt like it was missing something. He did enjoy the cuban coffee! We also got yucca fries. They were a little salty. Not too bad. The dip was pretty good, though, I like plain ketchup on mine. My husband liked it on his sandwich. I got sweet plantains, which were nice and soft. I also got a cuban sandwich. It was also a little salty for me. Overall, we’re happy with the food. The owner was very friendly! The atmosphere was alright. I would personally watch what songs are played in a setting where children come with their parents. Best wishes to this business!

Our group shared empanadas which I found a bit too crunchy but the stuffing in each was delicious especially the shrimp. I had baracoa which was excellent in every way and my two dining companions had churasco which they felt the same way about. Delicious, well presented, and generous portions. So generous in fact I could not eat my garden salad. One of our companions said hers was remarkably fresh. One of the best meals we’ve had in BTV in post COVID era. The only thing I didn’t like about Santiago‘s, and I realize this is a very personal thing to me, the chairs are so uncomfortable. Full disclosure: I’m I have a fairly high age score. I like some Comfort when I go out to a restaurant. The acoustics are challenging. One of our trio had a tough time hearing anything all evening. The seating choices below do not capture that we were at a table. What day am I called booth still have the same chairs as described. we will definitely be returning To this restaurant.

The portion sizes were also generous, ensuring a satisfying meal.
Beyond the delicious entrees, the drinks were super tasty and perfectly complemented the meal. And for dessert, the tres leches cake was absolutely divine, easily one of the best I’ve had. The service was impeccable; our server was friendly, attentive, and really enhanced the overall experience, knowing exactly when to engage and when to give us space. Even with how busy the place was, everything ran smoothly. Considering the quality of the food, drinks, service, and the wonderful ambiance, the prices were very reasonable. Santiago’s is truly a gem, and I can see it becoming a staple for anyone craving authentic Cuban flavors. I’m already planning my next visit, definitely bringing out-of-town guests to share this fantastic find!

I got delivery on DoorDash, but the food here was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Lechon Asado, Tia Elsa’s Frijoles Rojos, and tres leches. All of it was absolutely amazing, but the tres leches was some of the best I’ve had. I will certainly return and dine in the next time I’m in the area

We hosted our holiday party here this year for a group of about 65 and reserved the entire restaurant for the evening – it was phenomenal! The Santiago’s team did an incredible job. Our staff was thrilled, and many said it was one of the best (if not the best) holiday parties we’ve ever had.
Everything was impeccably organized, the flow of the night was seamless, staffing was spot-on, the bar ran smoothly with no lines, and the food was absolutely delicious. Truly fantastic to work with from start to finish. Highly recommend!

My husband and I grew up in Miami FL where lots of Cuban people live. The food here at Santiago’s was incredible and authentic but also unique. The snapper with the sauce was sooo delicious and very rich!! Michaela was attractive and sweet. We are thankful that they were able to accommodate dietary needs as well. Thank you for reminding us of home.
