I admit that from the outside you don’t expect much but inside it is full of friendly, nice people and excellent food. I ordered these smothered burrito with potato and chicken and it was indeed smothered and huge. You’re not going to beat the prices and it doesn’t suffer one bit because the prices are reasonable.

The staff is friendly and the food is Great! Same Great food for almost 30 years! I first had Santiagos’ 27 years ago. I worked at a shop and we would get the breakfast burritos. They haven’t changed in size and quality!

This is a small, mom&pop shop, so don’t go looking for a big place with lots of wait staff. Take your time, sit down, relax and get some good food. There are times where they get lots of call in orders, so your meal might take a bit. They don’t have a huge kitchen, ok? The food is very good, inexpensive, friendly people who run it and who work there, and the carne adovada burrito is huge. I’m not able to eat it all in one sitting. And it’s $8!!! How can you go wrong? It’s mildly spicy, which I like. My belief is that spice should compliment rather than overpower the flavors in a dish. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. I’m a weekly regular. And a fan of local businesses.

I used to go to other well known restaurants to taste Mexican food. However, these locally owened small restaurants have much tastier Mexican food. Santiago’s is one of them and one of the best. Excellent service. They are very friendly. I really liked their enchilada plate.
