I always sit at the bar, you ask why right? Well there is this bartender there that always takes great care of me when I come in. Oh yeah she makes the best drinks as well. So ask for Liz she is the best so take good care of her. Great food and great prices.

Santana Mexican Restaurant in Cartersville, GA presented a disappointing experience during my visit. While traveling for work, I decided to try this local spot, hoping for a satisfying meal. Upon entering, the ambiance felt a bit dim and unwelcoming.
I ordered the chicken fajitas, which were served hot and as expected, with a tempting aroma. Unfortunately, my appetite was completely ruined by the sight of a roach crawling across my table. This, coupled with the poorly cleaned tabletop that had leftover debris I had to flick off, made the cleanliness level deeply concerning.
When the waitress eventually returned, I showed her a photo I had taken of the roach. However, instead of addressing the issue immediately, I had to find the manager myself as I was leaving. The manager’s response was polite but rather matter-of-fact—he asked me to send the photo so he could forward it to an exterminator. While this indicated some acknowledgment of the problem, it lacked the urgency and empathy one might expect in such a situation.
Though the chicken fajitas met expectations in terms of preparation, the restaurant must take serious action to improve its cleanliness, especially with wiping down tables and pest control. Without these changes, it’s hard to recommend Santana Mexican Restaurant as a reliable dining option. Cleanliness is a cornerstone of any dining experience, and unfortunately, this visit fell short of that standard. Returning under these circumstances would be unlikely for me.

Its been a while since my last review but, here’s a spicy one for you!!!
Santana Mexican Grill is a gem. Tucked right behind the pizza hut, don’t miss this place. I had the carnitas for dinner and walked away happy, full-bellied and smiling. The service was on point and the food was great. The house was clean and the staff was attentive.
Stop in if you are looking for the Latin cuisine experience. You won’t be disappointed! Enjoy

The strawberry margarita I had needed less tequila and more flavor added to it otherwise it would’ve been perfect! 🙂 as well as the tequila sunrise….The food was pretty good, just minus a point for serving my brother pink meat in his hamburger, but I’m glad they listened to our concerns and remade it for him 🙂

Very friendly staff in a clean environment. Food portions were above average and well worth the price. Salsa was very thin like tomato water. Chilaquiles lacked the steamed chips and was a pile of chicken, cheese and salsa verde. Taco salad lacked enough lettuce to be called a salad. The food was good just prepared a bit different.

I do not recommend this place at all. One server, her manager left her alone to go on break and we had to wait to let them know it was a roach cooked in my meal! I’m still waiting to talk to said manager! I’m sick to my stomach!!!!!! Do better!!!!

Server didn’t have knowledge about the plates offered. We ordered fajitas to prepare our own tacos and received a wierd bread full of meat and salsa that looks like dog through up on the plate. Disgusting. We make the claim. The manager denied to change the food. Them we ask for tortillas to manage the meat and got charged for the tortillas as well. Very disappointing.

The food was good and very authentic. However the sopaipillas that I have looked for was not what I had hoped. It was a fried tortilla with sugar and cinnamon. Not the puffy fried dough with powdered sugar I was used to in Texas and Oklahoma. The puffy is literally what sopaipilla means. So a bit disappointed when I got them home.
Also I had order a chimichanga which is also a fried product. Basically a fried burrito type fold with meat inside. I had been looking for the shredded beef version for this. Unfortunately it wasn’t deep fried it was just a flour tortilla stuffed with shredded beef. Again excitement turned to disappointment.
However flavors and food very tasty and services amazing.

I visited this restaurant and ordered steak tacos to go. The charge that I authorized had an additional $5.00 added to it when I looked at my bank account the next day. I wasn’t told of any extra fees on to go orders, but was charged without my knowledge. I will not be visiting this establishment again, as I find they’re dishonest.
