Decided to give this place a try after meeting the new head chef. He said he had altered the recipes of the menu opting for fresh ingredients vs frozen. I really enjoyed the Salmon and triple chocolate cake. The servers were very nice as well. Would definitely come back.

The setting was nice to be in Santa Fe.
The food wasn’t to bad. You can tell they are more on the fried items and gumbo.
We tried the backed flounder and red snapper.
The flounder was more on the fishy side and the red snapper was baked to long.
Other than that, wasn’t to bad.

I tried this place out in August of 2025 and everything was amazing. The prices were very reasonable especially for the quality of the food. The service was excellent and timely. Because of this experience I have been a regular customer and have tried just about everything on the menu for the past several months now and I have yet to find a single complaint. To anyone looking for a 5 star meal with friendly service at affordable prices I highly recommend this restaurant.

Food is always very tasty.! The staff is usually attentive and what I mean by that is I like a waiter or waitress that takes the plates off the table when we’re done with them instead of letting them pile up. And for the most part this is taken care of. They hire a lot of school students that just haven’t been in the restaurant industry very long, but they try hard. If you have never been here give yourself treat, food and prices are fair. There’s a place over in Texas City that’s similar to this but I promise you this tastes better. They have a special menu that is Priced Right with a lot of options. Also I just posted these two newest pictures of a appetizer/ dinner option that it’s called the Boudreaux bread, excellent give it a try.! Enjoy Life and God Bless

I will start with the good. The patty melt was very good. It had great flavor, and was cooked very well, I would give it 4 1/2 stars. But the rest of the food was just ok, the breading on the country fried steak, mashed potatoes and the breading on the fried mushrooms were plain.

The menu is awesome with lots of choices. Very good atmosphere and great service. I had frog legs and grilled quail with mixed vegetables and asparagus. However the frog legs were bland and what i tasted most was the breading. The asparagus was over cooked for my taste. I like mine to have little crunch and not so soft. However a great surprise was the grilled quail. Nicely done. Mixed vegetables were on point. I like the food so the next day i had grilled shrimp with pork chops and mixed vegetables. Everything was delicious. A definite place to try and probably one of the best places to eat locally.

Wow this was the best meal ever and I’ve paid more than a fast food meal than the price for a flounder stuffed with boudin! Under $20 and I have leftovers. Will be coming back to this restaurant again.

I’ve been to this restaurant many many times before they changed owners. They changed the chef and the food as you can see by the photo I did not finish my dinner at all. The shrimp was too crunchy hard batter had an odd taste to it they did not have the crinkle french fries any longer, and if you don’t pay cash they charge and $.85 up charge on your ticket. I don’t eat catfish fried ever but they had some of the best around with light batter. This time slaw was runny my fried had the fried shrimp poo boy same hard fried shrimp and now a hard toasted bun. We will not be back!
