Nice addition to CP! Food was good but not extraordinary. Good chips and salsa and we enjoyed the queso fandido appetizer. Margaritas were also tasty but overall prices were a bit high. Will return but la carreta in Merrillville is still our go to.

Disappointing Experience – Not What We Expected
My husband and I ate here tonight and unfortunately, it was far from enjoyable. Despite the restaurant being mostly empty, it was extremely loud and uncomfortable. The decor didn’t help—it felt like a cheaply renovated Italian restaurant, with overly bright lighting that made the ambiance feel harsh and unwelcoming.
The food was a major letdown. We ordered an a la carte chicken quesadilla and a ground beef quesadilla, but both came with unexpected ingredients. The chicken quesadilla was cooked with fajitas, which wasn’t mentioned on the menu, and the beef quesadilla had onions mixed in, also not listed. Since we didn’t want those extras, we didn’t end up eating the meal. The side rice I got with my enchiladas was bland and came with peppers, tomatoes, and corn cooked in, none of which I expected or particularly wanted.
On the plus side, the manager did take the quesadillas off the bill but he continued to tell us that’s just how they cook them. It would’ve been nice if that was made clear on the menu, so we could have avoided the confusion altogether.
One final issue—there’s no website or online menu, so we couldn’t check anything ahead of time, which would’ve helped. Overall, we left feeling disappointed and won’t be returning.

This place is amazing! Our new favorite Mexican spot. Everything was awesome, my fiance and I both loved our dishes. He said his carne asada was the best he had ever had! The service was also spot on. Everyone was so nice and welcoming and we got all of our food and drinks super quickly. Can’t wait to come back!!

Awesome Mexican food. We also like the Dyer location. The Santa Fe Chimichanga is my favorite with a tall glass of Dos Equis!

Slowwwwwww. TexMex food. They use mozzarella instead of chihuahua cheese. Their flautas are taquitos…. Authenticity is low. Do not bring aubuelita here.
Great drinks though. I waited a long time for my second beer though.
Second visit fyi… decent enough to try a third time.

What a great addition to Crown Point! We were lucky enough to find here on the 2nd day of opening and greeted at the door with a welcome and a smile. We were sat immediately and within minutes greeted by our server, Ana. She was kind and made wonderful suggestions for food and drinks. The food was delivered fast, hot and delicious. We are so impressed with this new restaurant and highly recommend it for a great meal. Congratulations on your opening and we’re looking forward to seeing you again soon!

I will never come back to this restaurant. Paying $15 for a blackberry Mojito that had no alcohol and $16 for a shrimp quesadilla that was soggy and the size of a taco is absolutely ridiculous. The amount of beans and rice in the plate was also quite small. We quit going to the one in Dyer and thought we’d give the Crown Point location a shot. Boy were we mistaken. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time or money.

I’d say it’s OK. The food is Tex-Mex, so if you like that, you will like this. That’s not my preferred style of Mexican food, so it’s not for me. But, it may be for you.
