Dining with The Davids
We want to be transparent that we do have a working relationship with this restaurant, which actually began when we came in to film a Dish Detective segment (we collaborate with NBC Palm Springs). During that visit, we filmed five or six different items from the menu—and that’s when we became genuine fans.

After filming, we came back on our own with three friends for brunch, and every single person loved what they ordered. I personally had the chilaquiles, and all the flavors were solid, balanced, and deeply satisfying—exactly what you want from a brunch dish. Even without cameras or photos that day, the experience fully held up.

We also caught one of their live events, featuring the first LGBTQ+ mariachi band out of Los Angeles. They perform on a small stage at the restaurant, and with around ten performers (give or take), the energy and vocal talent are genuinely impressive. It’s a fantastic bonus if you’re looking for free live entertainment, especially on Sundays.

The quality of the food was consistently impressive, especially for the price point. Everything we tried was well executed, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The staff was kind, welcoming, and attentive, and the cocktails were fantastic—easily holding their own against spots charging a lot more.

Could the atmosphere be elevated? Sure. But if it were, the prices would absolutely reflect that. For us, the superior quality of the food for the price, is something to celebrate.

We’ll absolutely be telling our local friends about this spot. A true hidden gem—yes, we know that phrase is overused, but in this case, it genuinely applies.

This place earned its stars the old-fashioned way: food + vibe + heart. ️

We recently dined at Santa Fe Restaurant for brunch with friends, and it was phenomenal. We shared several dishes, and every single one was outstanding — flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Santa Fe absolutely nails consistency across the menu.

And let me say this clearly: this is a restaurant you want to eat at, not just order takeout from. The service, ambiance, and overall experience elevate the food to another level. Everything tastes better when enjoyed in the restaurant — unrushed, well-served, and surrounded by the lively atmosphere Santa Fe does so well.

Live mariachi adds to the magic, with performances on Friday and Saturday nights (7:30–10:30 PM) and during Sunday brunch, featuring Mariachi Arcoíris de Los Angeles from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM — joyful, energetic, and truly special.

Santa Fe has officially become one of our go-to spots, especially for Sunday brunch. Highly recommend — dine in, don’t miss it.

Sante Fe Restaurant on Ramon is a great neighborhood Mexican restaurant. We had the fish tacos, one grilled, one tempura, one breaded. they were tasty with lots of toppings. we were the only gringos in the joint. we came straight from the airport, upon arriving in town. The food is uniformly well prepared. we will eat here at least 3 more times while we are in town.
Their bar offers a variety of brews and margaritas.

I always get great service from the waitress staff and they are very attentive. They have the best Alcohol-free Micheladas in the desert made with bottle Jarritos mineral water.

I didn’t like the Mexican band it was the worst experience ever in my life. The food wasn’t bad or good. The service was really good. The atmosphere was horrible the music was hurting my poor ears.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. There’s no host, so you seat yourself. It took them a long time to even notice me and to get some service. Food came out really slowly, about 40 minutes, and I only ordered enchiladas. When it finally came, was not worth waiting for. Rice was cold and hard. Beans had no flavor. And there’s that awfully loud music in the background. Waitress was nice but I won’t be coming back.

Really good food. Had a chili rellano, which is my favorite. Good service and good atmosphere. Also asked for Pico de Gallo which was not on menu, is excellent.

I love me some Agua chiles verdes and you tell from my past reviews. These were good not too spicy my only complaint is that i like mine chilled and these were not. I ordered a Michelada con Modelo Especial, that was soo good! The vibe was good but the place was hot, very stuffy we left because of that reason.

This place was amazing! Very nice staff and service was great. The smell of the food as we walked in had me in anticipation. And they delivered. The food and salsas were incredible. I can’t wait to come back.
