I enjoy the happy hour deals here! Normally I sit at the bar. The food is delicious and they have a large margarita menu with specialty margs. Free chips and salsa is a huge plus! Full meals are a little pricy and don’t expect too much spice, but a nice campus visit. Indoor and outdoor seating.

From the moment we sat down, we were impressed. The huge margaritas were a sight to behold, and the $5 happy hour margaritas were an absolute steal!
The meal started perfectly with fresh, crispy chips and homemade salsa, a classic that Santa Fe executes flawlessly.
For my main course, I opted for the Baja Tacos with Rice and Beans, and I was not disappointed. The beer-battered fish was incredibly crispy, and the fresh, finely chopped veggie and cilantro topping added a burst of flavor that elevated the dish to another level. The chefs truly do a fabulous job preparing the tacos, showcasing their skill and dedication to quality.
Beyond the delicious food and drinks, the service was exceptional. Long Island Chris, our server, was super! He was attentive, friendly, and made our dining experience even more enjoyable.
The pet-friendly covered outdoor seating is a fantastic bonus, allowing us to enjoy our meal in the fresh air with our furry friend.

Our daughter lives in the area and heard a lot of hype about this place. We decided to check it out for dinner. Perhaps it had been too hyped to us, because we weren’t impressed. Our server clearly didn’t know the wine selections, so when my husband ordered a Cabernet Sauvignon he seemed unsure of whether the bar offered that and offered a Pinot noir. Upon discovering the bar menu on our table we saw Cabernet Sauvignon is one of ONLY 4 reds served of 8 wines in total. We were not off to a great start with our server, but rolled with it. We’re a family of four, we ordered tacos from the appetizer menu, a shrimp burrito, short rib enchiladas and a short rib chimichanga (pictured). Portions were generous though all of our rice & bean sides were barely room temperature, rice filler to meat ratio was a little disappointing. Flavors/seasoning was mediocre. Prices were fair for the portions. Booth seating was a little uncomfortable in that the seats benches were low for the table height. Our kids thought the best part was the complimentary chips (served warm) and salsa. Overall, nothing to brag about here.

The food was good, we chose outdoor seating but the place very loud due to the nearby road traffic, nothing to do with the restaurant itself but something to keep in mind before choosing outdoor seating in this location. The service was just ok. They do have ‘happy hour’ from Monday to Friday, in the evenings.

♀️ Train-wreck from beginning to end. I know restaurants are suffering, but that doesn’t mean service standards have to as well. Despite being heavily staffed, and not extremely busy, we were sat and waited at least 15 minutes before anyone noticed we existed. Another server in a different section took pity on us and brought chips and salsa. We were finally able to order and only a portion of our meal arrived. Our server disappeared before we could even ask where the rest of it was. After locating him & inquiring 15 min later… it suddenly appeared 3 min later piping hot, and then server disappeared yet again so we couldn’t even get the check. Oh ya… definitely makes you want to come back…

Great food, more of a tex-mex though. Service a tad slow, can be improved. The crab quesadillas were awesome as well as the street corn empanadas. The sopapilla dessert was so-so, not bad. Will be back again.

My first time visiting Sante Fe Mexican Grill in Newark. I had an amazing experience. I assumed Mike, the bartender, was a veteran. I had no clue he was new. Brett is running a smooth operation. Shaun, the bartender, was cool too. Mike was attentive, responsive, and understanding. I felt like a celebrity. Brett is doing a fantastic job. The place is clean and the bathroom smelled amazing. If Brett is running the place, then I want to be there. I know my family and friends will have a fantastic time.
